BF2142 Patch 1.4 - Out Now!

Anyone know if the patch from FileShack works because I downloaded it from a person who says it works but I wanna make sure before I get screwed over.

Worked fine for me ...... havent had any of the problems people here seem to be having .....

It's no rumor, i tried it myself. Pods in the transporter do not move and it really blows.

Did they fix the EU transporter gun? I haven't been able to shoot anything with it to see for myself so far

The fileplanet one seems to work ok. Waiting in line isn't always great, but once you get to download, the speeds are usually better making it just as fast anyway.

It installed just fine for me and I saw servers.

if you are talking about your favorite servers are in red that means they probably never uploaded their server code with 1.40 and still have 1.25 or one of the beta patches.

mine was like that. the patch just came out yesterday so not everyone probably has it updated yet.


I also got the patch from FP and played on a AWESOME 24/7 Thruway tampa server that i found and played for a good 2 hours and had one problem. first time player in 2 months as well

Full, but you can also install it on top of 1.25 if you like.

Just to be sure i un- and reinstalled the whole game before installing the patch.

Just to add another data point: I downloaded from FileFront on Tuesday, but the .exe wouldn't do anything when I double-clicked it.

Downloaded from FileShack last night, installed fine, saw lots of servers, a few red ones (still on 1.25 I imagine) and played just fine.

I reinstalled just yesterday, I did it as battlefield, 1.25, NS, 1.4. I reckon it'd probably work with 1.4, NS, 1.4 too though, since NS wanted a patch of 1.25 or higher.

I downloaded the official 1.40 patch from fileshack using this link. The "Download Now" link on that page takes you to the "login to use our well fast servers or don't login and download from our crappy ones" page. I did the second option and picked the Dallas (5) server. Download was between 300-600kbps and took about 10 minutes. Filesize is 367MB, installer says it's the 1.40 patch, not 1.25 as some others have found. Total install time was less than 5 minutes. All seems a-ok to me.

We wait three beta phases for a patch, then the "patch"(translation=another fVck up by you know who) isnt even the correct file!?

I only saw one news article somewhere stating at the end that "the beta 3 version is the same file you need, so users with beta 3 need to do NOTHING".

Why the hell didnt the big guys who made this game MAKE THAT COMPLETELY OBVIOUS, instead of coming to read 6 pages of "like what file do i like need then".

And shame on those who should of known this from previous patch releases. Dee dee dee!
