^^ Yeah, and? That's like having a company work on a game for years, without building a better engine, and never releasing.

More games come out, better engines, better graphics, better everything.

There is only so much time that a mod can be released an be successful, believe it or not, even Project Reality doesn't have huge amounts of players, and that mod was released when the community was more active.

By saying "let them move on" it's a pointless argument. Why release something when everybody else is moving on, leaving nobody to play the mod?

Hell, BGF just came out, under 100 people playing online.

forgotten hope 2 isnt being developed for the masses. The developers arent stupid, they realize the mod community is a small tight niched organization of hardcore players. there are still people playing FH1 every single night and you can bet all of them will move over to FH2 when it gets released.

Regardless of what others might think BF2 is still one of the most popular FPS games 2 and half years after its release, it has survived the tide. every game you mentioned like crysis or cod4 still have significantly less online players than BF2 and those games are much newer with much prettier eye candy but eye candy isn't everything, game play still reigns supreme when players are deciding what to sit down and play for an hour or two. theres a reason there are not even 900 people playing crysis.................

this is not a competition for players, more so for the quality of the work as most of these developers will use this mod in their portfolio. if its good people will be here to play, just as they are for POE2 and any other top notch mod. if dice would get off their greedy asses and give the mod community the pop up window they promised 2 years ago this mod community would be 100x the size it is today.

leave the FH devs be, the more threads there are that end up harassing them wont make them go any faster.
