well,,, thanks guys I have a ping issue. i ewnt on 3 servers and everyone running 50 - 60 and im at 167. I dont get it i have dsl and its 3 time slower than everyone else.. I dont know what else to do. im running dual core amd 2.4's with 4gig ramddr2 with invidia 8500 gt 512mb ddr.. If i cant pick up some speed to level the playing field im gonna have to quit. which really blows cause i like the game but its really like im a special olympian playin at the regular games.. just wrong on so many levels!

Play on servers in countries near yours, or in yours. I normally play with a ping of 100 and that is ok. Also, what is you connection speed?

How many other people/computers are on your internet connection? I notice that if I have both my laptop and my desktop connected to the internet, my ping will rise to 250 or so, otherwise it's a normal 30-40.

You're not trying to play over wireless are you?

That shouldn´t be a problem should it? I am on a 512Kbit connection and using Wi-Fi and i am fine.

Thanks for the help. I have been paying lots more attention to my ping and I am usually the only one on the server in the triple digits. I have been working with my ISP and the router and when I am at home I plug in.

I travel a lot so some times it is out of my hands.

well good news found ping of 80 and im doing much better.. I do have 2 comps other than the one i play on hooked up through router and one is wireless. Should I disconnect them both to improve speed/ decrease ping?


ps the comp i play on is not wireless.

IMO i would, i tried routing my pewter & my sons 360 live, just didnt work at all, too much band needed, not enough MUI for the 360 either.
