I give up, i'm decent at soloing, and one of my clanmates is better, we got floored by this one guy in a server, he had a pilot (most of the time OMFG can it be?), he missed twice out of his 56 (I think) shots, no matter what kind of spin/dodge/even evasive maneuver delta 4 did not work! I hit him twice (both him near the helipad), the damage icon appeared, but no damage to his chopper. He just kept taking us both out, we had no problems with the other chopper, luckily another one of my clanmates was in a j-10 and got kicked many times from you-know-who-was-the-admin lol, but unrelated to him owning said admin, he was really a nice admin (no sarcasm - I mean it).

I think I have like 5 total minutes in a heli but I soloed anyway. I used my sniper to get rid of those damn fools trying to get my chopper, even when they may have been more skilled.

It was awesome. Made lots of jihads too using the chopper.

When you started playing where you a pro? You cant learn much from being in an empty server since you have no live targets and cant gun yourself.

Oh no he was born with a stick in his hand. He is the greatest pilot and has a full right to TK and do other $hitty things to the "noobs".

The only defensive argument you chaps have is "Soloing is no teamwork" or "Soloers are bastards".

It takes one really cold stones hearted son of a b!tch who still has the initiatie to fly a dumb fvck son of a b!tch around who has no idea how to operate the gunners seat. I can only see 2 things worse than that- trying to get I-A and I-B or S licenses in GT, finishing Little Mermaid on NES. You guys fail by your own arguments- there are plenty of ways to get information on proper gaming techniques when it comes to the gunners seat. And this game has seized to be a sandbox model a long time ago, back when peoples skill could redefine the fun of 31 people on their team. If you want to be a "team player", you do not fck up the most important vehicle, the most powerful vehicle just because "you feel like it". You go to a LAN server, you get down to the basics, you go to forums and read how its done proper.

I do not gun for pilots because I lack the skill to make up the difference when it comes to a proper adversary. I do not gun if I have sh!tty hardware. I do not gun if theres a crew better than me ready to go, because chopper crews win battles in less than 3 minutes. Theres no infantry player, no tanker and no jet pilot that can do that.

If its about fun (your selfish fun), think about this. For the sake of the whole team, is it better to ruin YOUR round, or would it be better if YOU ruined the round for the 31 people on your team?

As far as personalities go, kiddies will stay kiddies. Aslong as they wont talk crap to you out of spite, leave them alone. Personally for me, theres no greater fun that team-killing-ramming that kiddie out of the skies until he leaves the server. :P

what if its a non chopper map?

As a general rule, I don't play non-chopper maps. I'm still better than 90% of the people I see in pubs at infantry. I consider myself bad because I don't compete for infantry. I suppose if I really wanted to I could be a tanker or an infy guy on my 8v8 team for CAL, but I'm far too valuable in a helicopter and I don't think anything is as fun as the helicopter in Battlefield 2. I play what I think is fun. I don't really care about infantry.

You guys can talk all you want about infantry but I don't find it fun. I could care less if somebody could beat me 1v1 infantry. I like helicopters and my name carries a resonance among thousands of players as a chopper whore, and I know for a fact that I can count on a single hand the number of people in the world who could beat me 1v1 in a chopper.

2v2 choppers, there's possibly one or two teams that can regularly beat me and either of my two pilots.
