When you started playing where you a pro? You cant learn much from being in an empty server since you have no live targets and cant gun yourself.

You can add solo'ers to the same category as stats padders and Karkand I/O players. Only caring about themselves, their stats and their placement at the end of any given round.

Seeing someone write "OMG GET OUT OF TEH CHOPPER I WANNA SOLO CUZ IM PRO AND UR NOT LOLOLOL" is like watching a spoiled little kid whining in a supermarket, but funnier.

We should all make the effort to join these "pros" when they're playing, enter their choppers, and proceed to fire aimlessly at trees. Not like it will make any difference in the game anyways, solo-ers are useless in terms of teamplay. :)

Whenever they're on the other team and I'm flying (a jet), I always go after them.

            Redline fixes all

I haven't redlined in ages though... It really helps to have a chopper mate.

Local and near empty servers allow you to learn how to fly. Singleplayer allows you to learn how to TV ground targets: I've already addressed this in an earlier post.

But you'll never reach supersloichurrascocynicgunner status, so might as well give it up right away.

Re: Time for another soloing thread!

I didn't want to, but i feel its my duty to argue on the side of the teamworkers.

You guys are real jerks, you must stick to <40 players servers because i hardly see ya... and im glad because of that

Its a game, and to tv its not hard to learn, and i bet anyone can master it just like you "pros" with practice.

The learning curve for any gunner is more or less 10 mins for basics, TVing: tanks, apcs, aa's and choppers. And thats more than enough to keep you players happy.

Yeah there an anchor, but who cares? If you want a challenge than you would seek newbies to teach...

Would you rather multitask with a gunner, shooting infantry, tanks, apcs, jeeps, helos & jets with ease? Or stay 300 feet up tving every heli you see, away from the action.... like a little wuss up in the sky..

Of course we will never come to a consensus, soloers will be soloers and teammates will be *BETTER*.

I seem like the only convincable one on these forums, or in real life for that matter. People always think their opinion is right. I was once a "soloer," but ive seen the light.

Re: Time for another soloing thread!

Well, well, well, I solo quite a bit myself. I might as well step in here.

I play on 32 servers. I don't like a lot of people. Also, it is very hard to sift through all the players to tell who is good and who isn't in a 64 size map, full 64 player server for a good gunner/pilot.

Yes, it takes practice, but do they? No, quite simply. The players don't want to learn how to, they want to instantly be good. They don't have any self discipline. They're the same people that would fly an F35 and lock onto a J10 when they're 100+ meters away. They don't want to wait and get closer and use the cannon or missile spam after switching from bombs to missiles.

Having a height advantage over other choppers is very, very useful. The same chopper that was just raping your spawn is now gone.

Solo'ers help ground forces a lot if you don't seem to notice. A good solo'er would take out as many ground targets as possible, of course choppers are higher priority targets as they have a higher chance of taking you, in a chopper, out than say, a tank on the ground.

nobody should never join my team ever, i can simutaneously defend all flags, fly solo in the chopper, fly planes, command, sit in the AA and TOW and run over people in the buggy. for i am all that is man. my superior genetics allows me to forsee the future and adapt.

I don't see why it's such a big deal to have a bad gunner, it's just a game. Instead of whining like a little toddler when you get a bad gunner, why not just land the heli, get out and do something else? Anyway:

He soloes when his pilots are not around.

i know that ,just saying hes more effective as a dedicated gunner.

i use to solo when i had my gaming rig,i only redlined once,i sat on the carrier and told him how to use the tv missle and he said ok i will try, then he used the chain gun no matter what.

Yeah, but that's only because his piloting skills rival my sister's... and she doesn't play BF2.
