I dont really have a problem with perfomance. All on MED/HI, but Im not using AA as Ive found a good medium between perf/eyecandy.
Native resolution = the resolution the screen works best at, basically 1 pixel per whatever the DPI rating. Otherwise the screen has to scale it and you get slight blurring or other distortion.

It's also a cheap way of getting anti-aliasing, if you do it right (by setting a distorted resolution so the screen has to resample it).

when i say native resolution, all lcds have a resolution they are designed for, one that works best (this can usually be found with a Google search for the model number) its usually the highest resolution you can set the screen to but not always. you want to make sure you using this resolution as a base, then make your eye candy adjustments accordingly.

depending on your video cards and lcd's native you might have to significantly lower the eye candy because the screens native is very high, like 1600x1200 for instance. for others this could mean the opposite but its always best to make sure your resolution is set to the screens native (crt tube owners can pretty much ignore all of this , this a lcd only thing) this way your getting the crispest picture your lcd was designed for then adjusting eye candy and AA based around that.

This is mine running at 1280x1024. All settings on max and 4X AA. Not sure if I could put the AA up to remove some of the jagged edges, it might have a large impact on my fps. Card is 7900GTX 512. They are slightly scaled down as I can't find a free host that's good for images over 2MB.

Is dis a good graph fix?

These are the setting I usually use. Mostly medium with a few set to high with 2AA and 4AF. I usually use 1280x1024 though. Not sure why this was 1024x768.

You could turn that stuff to medium, and putt AA on and it would look a ton better.

                    Re: Does my graphics suck?

Since I only have a gig of RAM right now, I play with everything on medium, 16x AF and 8x AA. The only thing that bugs me about BF2's medium of "texture filtering" is the ground textures go from good, to bad, 5 feet in front of you. So because of that, I put AF on 16x rather than texture filtering on high, cause I lag with it on high.

I noticed that if you go into the nvidia control panel and change a few settings, you can get pretty good results. I play with everything on medium, but it looks like high - just without the lag!

I did take that screenshot of the Hotel with everything on high, AF16x and AA8x because I can play with everything maxed, it's just that it takes like 10 minutes for the lag to settle down.

                          Re: Does my graphics suck?

This gives a pretty decent explanation of the graphics settings.

Everybody should read what they say about using AA ive found it to be true....

Antialiasing: To make sure Antialiasing works in the game, first go to your graphics card's control panel, and for Nvidia cards under the Performance & Quality Settings in the Global Driver Settings section select 'Application Controlled' for Antialiasing and Anisotropic Filtering. For ATI cards go to the 3D section of the Control Panel/Control Center and select 'Application Preference' for Antialiasing and Anisotropic Filtering. Now you can go into BF2 and set the level of Antialiasing you wish to use, however obviously it will reduce your game's performance.
If you try to set the AA in your cards options it will look like poop in-game.

..and they say this about the Texture Filtering options but I find it to be a load of crap. I set AF from my cards options at my desktop for best results.

The texture filtering settings at Medium and High should correspond with 2x Anisotropic Filtering (AF) and 4xAF respectively, with Low being Trilinear.

You really didn't have to quote the images.
