All I know is that I will wake up in the morning and think 'Why the hell did I stay up so late?'

That happens so many times. The game is addictive. I like screwing around and doing funny things, laughing with people, sometimes you get into a good squad with people who want to have a fun time and it's a fantastic experience.

But that's not taking it seriously.

There are times when the game is fun, or satisfying in a "gotcha" kind of way, but if you start falling into the trap of taking it seriously, you'll soon find yourself on a server where the commander or your squad leader sounds like he's in grade school, and that kinda deflates the feeling that the game is so serious and important.

It's neither.

Has anyone suffered from stress in the game? What I mean by shouting out, swearing either online or whilst at home, Getting Tk by your team mates. Just be interesting to know if you get all upset and shout and feel like smashing the game agaist the wall in frustration

Plenty, but only when Im alone behind the KB. Youll hear me saying "sh!T" and thats it.

I have seen people go genuinely nuts over a game though.

BF2 is damn fun, I dont think people take it "seriously" , but just play it too damn much.

Finally, I find when playing BF2 that I can put whatever problems I've had at work or home completely out of my mind as I get 100% involved in the game.

I only ever play for fun and don't really care about KDR in Pubs, just mess around with different weapons etc.

I do get pissed off if 50% of the team goes sniper and i'm commander, mainly because it's me that suffers at the end.

Matches however are a completely different story, i play to win and be the best. Every time i get killed i'll think why i died, what i could have done to stay alive / kill the other guy. If i get killed numerous times by 1 player, i may go as far as to watch the match demo and see where i went wrong from their viewpoint.

Matches against top squads add a whole new level of "enjoyment", yeah it can piss me off so much i don't play for a day, but when your clan works together perfectly and you constantly cap out another clan; nothing beats that~

I get the most frustrated when I knew I should of done something but I didn't and I had to pay for it. Like if my gut is telling me someone is hunting me down but I don't lay a ambush for them and then they kill me I get angry because I could of stopped it from happening but I did not.

Good responses guys!!! This is exactly what I was looking for when I posted this.. Keep them coming if anyone else has a story.


Personally, (in my chopper piloting sense) there's nothing better than finding that one gunner that will hit anything you point them at. "Clicking" with another player halfway across the country and knowing just what he's gonna do before he does is just unbeatable.

Working with a squad that knows what they're doing and takes advantage of every little detail that DICE put into this game is also an unbeatable experience.

For now....Keep enjoying!!! and try to ignore the noobs. If you cant ignore them.............Force tk them until they get kicked :)

The only thing I take seriously about BF2, is cheating.

Thankfully, it's rare; but I do occasionally find someone whom I suspect is cheating or glitching. Often, I'll ignore it until something blatant shows itself. (Constant Gun Shaking, Instant-180's without jumping or moving, UAV dot shows the person in an unreachable area.)

Once that happens, I traditionally stop playing the game, since my fun has been officially ruined by that person who thought it'd be peachy to let a computer script or glitch play or enhance the game for him.

Thats when things really get spiffy. I log onto a throw-away account, join the cheater's team, and follow him around throwing flash-bangs, shooting gas, dropping C4 at his feat, randomly firing to give away his position, shooting him in the chest with a pistol, jumping infront of him everytime he starts to fire on an enemy, while constantly pushing Page Down when asked if I want to forgive him.

All in all, I rather like to ruin their fun the same way they did mine.

Thats the only time I take BF2 seriously.

sometimes on the road I wish that a tank would pop out and blow up that idiot who keep swirving in and out of lanes or that I had a SRAW to shoot at them. people who drive like that just remind me of people on BF2.
