The Best thing about it, I played once during the outage for a 100 odd points. Basically I stayed away while the points were fubar! So Thanks for the free 2000!!! Luv ya EA!

What they should have done is go by everyones SPM and average hours per day. Im sure with all the modern technology it wouldnt be too hard figure out what a persons estimated loss was and then "reimburse" them.

But like I said, its better than nothing.

Thank you for contacting EA In-game support. Following the June outage of Battlefield 2 player stats, DICE and EA have been working to compensate all players who were active during that time for the frustrating inconvenience we realize this issue represented. After examining all the options, it has been decided that players who were active during the stats outage will be granted an additional 2000 points as well as a gold star. This will be awarded to over 150,000 affected players from midnight onwards (US West coast time) on Wednesday August 8th.

Additionally, it was recently discovered that stats from some 64 player servers during the outage period could not be recovered as we had previously believed and sincerely hoped. Stats from smaller servers were unaffected. However, we realize and recognize this still represents a disappointing loss to a lot of players and their time invested. We want to apologize for that unanticipated outcome, and wish we could provide additional compensation.

We hope that this compensation goes some way towards redressing the loss and wish to again apologize for the frustration this stats issue represented for many of you. Should you have any further questions or troubles, please just let us know.

Did you know that privates are getting this 2,000 pt bonus?

EA should have done the stat update differently instead of giving each person 2,000 pts.

It should have been more reflective of a persons average points per hr. So just take a persons SPH and then times it by say 10 or 20 hrs, which would generate a more appropriate score increase.

That would give a way lower amount. Your SPH is 4.45*60, it would have to be multiplied by a ****load of hours to work.

No, my SPM is 4.45. My SPH is 267 So times 10 hrs would have equaled 2,670 points.

I think the average SPM is around 2.5, so that would be a SPH of150. Then times 10 hrs would have been 1,500 pts.

Obviously it would be hard to determine a "fair" amount of gametime to give to each person, but I think a number between 10-20 hrs would have been average.

Yeah, that was a messed up night man. I'm still trying to figure out how that happened.

I know our team was beating up on the enemy and I even saw our Chopper and other teammates going into their spawn. I was getting hit from a chopper already and was looking to take them out. I looked at the UAV and then saw a chopper fly directly from the enemy heliopad coming my way (looked like it had just lifted off), it had no friendly tag show up and I fired.

The only conclusions that I can think of are:

1. I fired, killed the enemy chopper and the wreckage killed a transport carrying those 3 friendlies below. 3-accidential TK's and I'm kicked.

2. Maybe I hit our own chopper that was over their spawn, got 2 TK's and then the wreckage killed a teammate on the ground? Without a friendly indicator, it's hard to tell the difference between the Rebel & Spetznas choppers.

Did you have a better view? Because I was kicked, I couldn't tell what happened. Regardless, it was not intentional. I just know that when an enemy chopper is after my armor, I go and hunt them down too. :evil:
