This thread is so damn funny, I would read one post and think"hm, i need to quote that one and laugh at him." Then I would read another , then another, then.... well , you get the picture, until there was just too many criers to laugh at in this one thread. I love the picture of someone showing proof that DA hax, and the tags arent even correct, that was priceless.
What it comes down to is that some of you came to our server and didnt read the server rules and if you did you went and did what you wanted to anyway and when you violated a server rule, you were dealt with. If I came to your server and began violating server rules I would expect the same thing to happen. If you dont like the server .....DONT PLAY! ROFL. Your worship given to the clan only makes my balls smile, I assure you. I mean damn we must have the worst server in the world especially since we are what, number 6? 7? I mean I guess the rest of the world has it all wrong huh>?

To me, its a mystery, how can older folks even condisder being a part of such a community. How can you justify paying money on the net to be an ******* first grade? You just cant...

JHubs, I'm truly sorry that your thread was hijacked by all these mean people.

So you want to know: "What does it take to make a successful server?".

I can tell you, but you're not going to like it.


It's pretty simple actually. All you have do is start kicking/banning random noobs that join your server. Eventually, people start coming to your forums to make threads like "OMFG Admin Abuse!". When this happens, just respond with something like:

"LOL! It's my server I do whatever I want." (You can even set up a bot to do this for you if you know how)

IMPORTANT: Don't forget the "LOL!" part. Noobs get really mad when you laugh in their face and this will force them to take it to the next level.

THE NEXT LEVEL:

Once this person is angry, he will most likely go on a noobie rampage. During this rampage, he will not eat or sleep for up 4 days while he posts negative comments about you and your server on as many BF2 websites as he can find. At first, this will seem like a bad thing. Trust me, it is not...do you wan't to know why?

Easy. These hate threads can get upwards of 1000 views each. Most of these viewers end up joining your server to see for themselves. The best part is...alot of these people end up having a good time on your server and they add it to their favorites. The people who don't like it usually go on to make a new hate thread. It is a never ending cycle that will keep your server populated.

Think of it as free advertising. Pretty cool huh?

Soon you will have many people spending hours of their day thinking about you and your server...kinda like that Dairuka character.

It is quite flattering

It's hard to follow ever evolving rules that can be twisted, mangled and distorted to fit even the most myopic vision. dA!'s rule set is not list of guidelines, but rather a bundle of excuses for their admins on that server to press a ban button on someone they don't like.

Thankfully I don't have to speak for myself, since there are hundreds of people who all have their own personal experiences with dA!'s poor administration.

On what server are you an admin?

I forgot, it's better to let 5 idiots stand around waiting in line, or not, for a vehicle; all of whom have formed and locked a squad, great teamwork there. Get your story straight, we do not ban unless it is deserved, we kick. I was kicked from the dA! server 81 times before I joined the clan. I thought it was funny. I was never once banned even though there were several times I verbally abused a couple of members.

It's simple; we strongly encourage team play and teamwork. We do let non-dA! members on our team use strategic vehicles if 1) they know what they are doing and 2) they have a headset w/mic and they use it.

For the record, I and other admins have kicked idiots, unskilled players from the other team so a more skilled person can use said vehicle. No, we are not afraid of the competition; in fact, we embrace it. We move people to the other team to keep the competition as close as possible. We will not, under any circumstances, play against each other.

Wow, you either have a problem with reading comprehension or you just choose to ignore my comments and again try to take something out of context to prove an invalid point. I did not say he hacked, I said he was reset. Big difference.

Gestapo was more of a reference to the stringent police actions taken by a totalitarian government. A comparison which I, as well as many others feel is very relevant to the current subject.

My suggestion would be to talk to someone who lived through the Nazi era before you start throwing around Nazi references. At least visit the holocaust museum in Washington D.C. There is a difference between stringent police actions and the Gestapo. Think of what we do as rendition. Use that wikpedia knowledge and dig a little deeper.

Also, I am glad you currently have a group of people with you that have given you permission to speak for them. That's impressive.
I have no problem if you do not like the way we run our server but make sure you stick to the facts and if you do not like it don't play there. It is obvious you have not spent any time on our server as you are spewing out the same misinformed gibberish that I have seen from other misinformed people. We have plenty of happy pub players. The funny thing about all the complaining is that we do what many other servers do; we just admit it and give pub players a place to voice their complaints. Bad us!

The premise for our respective arguments is fundamentally opposite so there can be no resolution. My sole desire would be to see any arguments about dA! be based on fact, not conjecture and hearsay.
dA!, for the most part, is made up of type A personalities. We hate to lose and we do not see any reason why we should help the other team win. We have, however, sat on the sidelines and watched when the teams became lop-sided. I can only speak for myself on this one but I can assure anyone who reads this that I have never entered a competition, stated or otherwise, with the desire to finish 2nd. I play, fight and work to win and I really don't care if I hurt your feelings along the way.

As far as your grammar Nazi comment, I admit it; I can't stand ignorant people who think spelling and grammar are not necessary while on the internet. That and chewing with your mouth open. Both are incredibly annoying.

ummmm.....you might want to check your facts. Our server is ranked 6th in the world.

If that commnet was in regard to illusion then hop on our vent server and talk to him or any of us. It might help to have an informed, educated opinion instead of spreading gossip.
