Re: What does it take to make a successful server?

What illusion does is his own business, and he is ultimately accountable for his actions. That said, he has created a place where the dA clan can play.

There is nothing going on in dA that other servers have not done before. This is not about illusion hacking. You can talk about that until I am blue in the face, frankly who cares. I personally know what he is capable of and you can call him a hacker all you want. That does not change the fact that he has created an awesome place to play, regardless of anything else.

Why am I a dA member? Simple. The clan works together; land, sea and air. Every member uses VOIP making teamwork possible. Most importantly, the server caters to the fun factor of clan and not to the public. Say what you will about that fact, but I enjoy the fact that I can instantly have fun doing what I like, without having to ask permission of any noobs.

Regardless of our tatics in administration, the general population still enjoys our server. There is always people, there is always an admin at hand, and the server is not subject to nubs douche bagging others via hacks, team killing, etc. If the server is so bad, why is the server still active?

You can dissect our posts all you want. You keep saying the same rehashed rhetoric. dA is bad, blah blah, don't go there, zomg illusion hacks.

Doesn't matter anyway. Your hate for Illusion has biased your opinion of any dA clan member, regardless of what that persons views and values are, because not all of us think like illusion.

So say what you want, it changes nothing. Go on with you stereotyping and profiling, it makes you look really cool.

PS; I find it hilarious that you find the need to dedicate your signature, which is suppose to be an imprint stylized to you, to illusion and not to your self.

    Illusion was reset for hacking

Why should we listen to your self-important insight, due to the fact that you've already failed to grasp the obvious. Your server is led by a known hacker, who has been reset many times for his hacking. Worse yet is the fact that he admitted to being a hacker.

Now you're going to contradict him? When does it ever end with you people?

Draconian Enforcement, and Gestapo Boots go hand in hand. Try to spin it however you want; but your server is the worst administrated server in Bf2 existence. You guys are more famous for your whimsically enforced draconian laws, than Moongamers.

More amusingly... dA! is the only server that actively promotes hacking... So long as you have a dA! tag and pay a monthly fee. Losers.

A game that your leader cheats at.

    Oh, by the way.

Hah hah, Illusion got reset again.

Wah wah wah. You're crying again. Do you think that your incessant whining is justification for cheating, and administrative abuse?

So you guys have to work together to ban people who put up a fight.

Wow. I have a question now... How many dA! members does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

The Third Reich got banned for hacking too. Thats why he killed himself.

Yeah, nobody could really understand the Nazis back in 1940, and they got blown to smithereens. Poor Adolf, just a misunderstood kid, really. Just didn't have his mother's love

I have been dA for over a year now. I have gone to many other servers in that year both with and without my tag. The outcome is almost always the same. I mainly fly choppers because that is what I like to do in bf2. I have gotten good at it. Any server I go to and start flying, 15 minutes later I am kicked or banned, and mostly with no given reason.

I come back and ask why I was just kicked, and most often I am promptly kicked again.

Illuzion got reset again for hacking.

dA! server is only ranked #6 again. Guess they couldn't handle being #5.

It's good to know that I haven't left your mind, even after a full month later.

Thats why you're trying so hard to discredit HKS before he reveals your dirty laundry... again.

Re: What does it take to make a successful server?

So to get back on topic, for a successful server you'll need:

    Good general ping
    VOIP
    BattleRecorder if configured properly
    2-4 idelers (more maybe?)
A good map rotation (Such as?)
Fair admins who don't kick/ban for weird reasons
    Less rules the better. (Really?)
    PB Streaming

The server I frequent has one rule, no flying commanders. You can attack uncaps and jihadjeep. C4 flags and base camp. They also have a fairly strict language setting where you get 1 warning and then a kick on second cuss. (Plus I guess the usual stuff for a clan based server like no recruiting and being a tard.)

    Anything else for a summarization?
