Re: The L85: Inconsistent Results
Doing a burst wont really help coz the 2nd+ shot(s) will go strait to hell. Or heaven for that matter. 20 meters is really short distace really. When i use the L85 i tend to stay something like 50+ meters away from where the fighting is.Not at all. A 2 shot burst hits at up to 20 in-game metres (like across the Surveillance post on Sharqi), that's all you need to kill as well.
Don't bother going full-auto at range (as in holding the button down). What I mean is full auto mode, not actually shooting in full auto. No weapon in BF2 really caters to fully automatic shooting at range, except the RPK.Comment

Re: The L85: Inconsistent Results
The distance I'm talking is Surveillance Post on Sharqi, hitting people at the TOW from the road next to the alleyway. Probably the only gun I've used in this game where the crosshairs are easier than the scope. RPK is better though.Comment

Re: The L85: Inconsistent Results
I find one main advantage in using unlocks, once you get good with them then you can have the same weapon no matter what side you are one.
I think we lal know how controversal the l85a1 is, i get GREAT results with the gun and prefer it over the g36e due to its full auto.Comment

Re: The L85: Inconsistent Results
Same here. I like the full auto feature for close combat even though for medium and distant targets I only fire short bursts.Comment
