And remember to aim a little low and to left to compensate for the sights not being right on.

Personally, I'd rather use the L85A1 than the G36E any day. Be sneaky, engage from a distance. Keep it in auto at all times and teach yourself how to reliably tap 1 or two shot bursts. If you're planning on up close and personal, go with the AK101.

It's actually pretty accurate, all you have to do is calibrate the sights.

L85 needs to be used with distance on single shot. Sort've like the MP7 for engineers.

I've used mp7 a lot and I think it's only effective in close to medium combat.

noob question, how do u calibrate the sights? just aiming to see where it hit's or something like that or is there an adjustment?

What I meant to say is practise and see where it hits, and then adjust your aiming.

                            Have fun

You can time the shots with it just as well on auto.

Anyone else notice being calm when using that gun? I mean, in close range I can just sit back and empty a clip while daydreaming and kill a few people, but with every other gun, it's the standard running around like a headless chicken.

Let me put it this way.. L85 on semi auto is the best assault riffle in the game (tied with AK101), while L85 on semi auto is the worst and the most innacurate weapon in the game. The first shot will hit, but after that you wont hit a crap

Not at all. A 2 shot burst hits at up to 20 in-game metres (like across the Surveillance post on Sharqi), that's all you need to kill as well.

Don't bother going full-auto at range (as in holding the button down). What I mean is full auto mode, not actually shooting in full auto. No weapon in BF2 really caters to fully automatic shooting at range, except the RPK.
