Re: 50 things you miss about BF2
When I was playing regularly, I was proving your quote wrong on a daily basis. A newbie jet pilot (no matter how many hours on land) was getting pounded with a sub 1:1 KDR, eventually dropping jets altogether, or leaving the server. While observing those same "pilots", they couldnt even drop bombs properly, how do you reckon they got "uber" KDRs? They didnt. Same deal with tanks. I can take out any newbie tank driver by myself, using my AT kit.
The only reason why newbies own in vehicles is the indifference shown by their competition. To me, that is statpadding.
Yup. Its easier for a newbie STA op to take out a jet pilot, than vice versa. As I said, up to a specific point where the jet pilot is experienced enough. And getting a kill from ramming depends on who dealt damage to the opposition first. They may very well end up having no kills at all.
The blatant truth is more obvious than you think. During this year Ive been here Ive constantly used my main argument- the indifference shown by opposition. The ONLY way a tank driver gets 20:0 KDR, if the opposition doesnt give a sh!t. The vehicles arent broken, the mentality is. And yes, it is easier for tank to get a 20:0 KDR than an infantry grunt. But Ive used the word "force multiplier" way too often for you to think I dont know that. Stop being an as5hole.
Someone new to the vehicles requires just one archenemy to render him useless. The need for opposition grows with the experience and skill of the vehicle op.
If you knew anything about competitive gaming, youd know that its not just "one guy". There are plenty of people who have spent their time wisely to get better, and superior to the competition, while the general mass of BF2 players havent.
I said, I like to be the David when Im on the ground. I accept vehicles to be superior to me and base off my gameplay off that fundamental truth. Vehicles represent the supporting role on the field, but they act as force multipliers and stalemate breakers. Its common sense that they will break through when they arrive.
As it stands now, even a 300 hour infantry player can take me out with relatively small contest. The difference is, I dont b!tch about it.

Pshaw. It is easier for a noob to take down a jet as infatry then for a noob in a jet to kill said infantry? Give me a break, worst comes to worse the noob in the jet can still ram the ***** and pick up a kill

It is easier for a player in a tank to go 20 and 0 than it is for an infantry player. No doubt about it. You need less skill in your area of expertise to get a high K/D in a tank compared to getting the same K/D in infantry. Stop denying the blatant truth.

Even someone new to vehicles, in your own words, requires multiple infnatry to kill them. A noob in infantry would be owned by one decent player in infantry. Again, it is easier to survive in a vehicle.

Seen it, pixel shots. So, one tanker does some art? He does not represent the general users of vehicles at all. Stop trying to play games by finding the best examples to suit your arguement.

You like to be David vs. Goliath? Your the one flying jets with 1,500 hours in them. Tell me how that makes you David? You like to be Goliath against David. Vehicles are not the fingers of god, but they are closer to it than infantry, and infantry does all the important and necessary work. You may not agree with I/O mode, but a game of Conquest BF2 can still easily be played out on it, could a jet only option do that? No, it is infantry that do the work that is supposed to be done in BF2.

You take an infantry player with 1,500 hours on the ground and he would rip you to shreds. And don't worry Chris, there are plenty of jet whores out there.
