Yeah, PB won't allow client side things to be changed, or anything for that matter. In SP is will work as stated above b/c you're offline and no PB scans occur.

The best M95 sound I've ever heard was in the DSB mod. You fire the rifle and then everyone stars screaming and shouting in fear.

I LOVE the sounds in the POE mod so if i added a few of them (sniper) to the regular BF2 game would it ban me?

I'd probably change the footsteps sound, would never get knifed in the back again if it sounded like a chopper every step they took =p

Well i can see a reason to stop editing those sounds but not weapons sounds? like sniper rifles.

You should be able to submit sounds to EA and they decide which are allowed, so you get th ebest of both worlds.
