Re: EA flamers, STFU!
I am not one for bitching... but this is just one more snafu in BF2 to add to the hundreds before it.... Who knows they may fix it and if they don't, I guess they will loose some customers support. Not everyone plays only for stats however but lets face it when people see that there time and effort is for nothing and what I mean by nothing is when they realise there are no new unlocks, or ranks, or points etc. people will leave and move on. Some of the dedicated and hard core will stay just for the game play but, game play in BF2 is only half the battle. Everyone likes the sence of accomplishment that the stats bring, knowing you can work tward a goal or at least see your progress makes you come back for more.. and for that reason alone I understand why everyone is upset at the moment.
Peopel who have been working tward unlocks over the last week or so and gaining points toward rank etc. have been playing for nothing as most of the points are not registering. That is disapointing, I have many a friend who is still under the rank of 1st Sgt and they are really updset because all the points they have gained in the last week are most likley lost in cyberspace. Upset because they have invested time and effort and recieved nothing in return. Most of them did not even know the stats servers were down untile a week or so of the stats not updating. You would think at lest EA would post it in game so everyone had an Idea of what was going on.
I mean come on people we went years without any stats problems and now we run into some major road blocks. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens in the next weeks. But lets face it there really hasn't been that much feedback or updates to the progress of EA's attempts at fixing the problems and without feedback or official information the rumors run wild and that is were we stand now and everyone knows it's the rumors that add fire to the flam as the original poster pointed out.
