    EA flamers, STFU!

Over the months that i have been here, i have seen thousands of posts flaming EA for being lazy sh1tes who cant fix nowt all. Lately, the stat server outage has been like putting petrol to a fire, the number of b1tching posts has exploded. Well, i need to get this off my chest...

I am sorry to side with EA, but have you ever stopped and thought, actually maybe this is a pretty serious problem with no obvious solutions? Therefore it needs some extreme looking into before it is fixed. Maybe this might prevent that stats system from going down again in the future?
I know you will say "but they are a huge company with thousands of employees and making £millions revenue", but i am afraid to say, you cannot make a problem go away by throwing money at it (Like having a greedy ex-wife).

Maybe you should just stop and think: EA is a profit making company (they are not here to do everything at our beck and call), they probably are trying as hard as possible to look into the stats issue (and it sounds like a serious problem) and lastly they are not some kind of super humans that can do things in an instance. Im sure quite a lot of the employees are not gamers, and when a stats system goes down over the weekend, they are not going to rush into work and spend hours trying to work out how to fix it (Put yourself in their shoes. Could you be f*cked to spend you weekend fixing a stats system? Thought not.)

I also hear a lot of people complaining about how crap the customer service is. I have had to email them twice about problems with installations and EA Link and have had no problems. Sure, they took a few days to reply, but this is the same for any large corporation. However, each reply I got was custom written (IE, not a standard covering letter), and the guy actually referred to my problem and not one given in their list of FAQ’s. He listened to the possible solutions that I thought might work and helped me along the way with them, each time ending in success.

Well, Im glad that’s off my t1ts now. I have been building it up for quite some time. Expect more people… expect more.

And how many months have you been in it?

If you've been here since the begining, through all the lovely patches, splitting of the community numerous times, you maybe wouldn't have said what you did.

My only gripe is that reps keep saying 'There are more servers working fine than not' which everyone knows is BS.

I just hope they get it fixed sometime next week.

EA's customer service is definitely awesome. Their support for games? Don't make me laugh.

(Put yourself in their shoes. Could you be f*cked to spend you weekend fixing a stats system? Thought not.)
If I had a family to support, or even just myself and that was my day job, yes. And guess what, that's the case over there.

I just hope this really is an "unfixable problem". Yesterday was the first time in the history of BF2 that I could hop from server to server and see people on VOIP, working together in squads, and generally pwnz0rrZing.

I actually had to keep joining and leaving squads to find one not using VOIP (was trying to fix something)

And who knows what hours they have dictated over there at EA. There could be (probably is) staff already scheduled for weekends.

nice post and I can see his point, not the fact that it might be a serious problem to fix etc...but the fact that no matter how many posts you whine and cry in, nothing will be done so either play the game or don't ea don't really care or not to the extent where they will jump right on every problem and fix it, they might fix bf2, they might not......

Guys, when something goes wrong, blame EA
When something goes right, blame DICE
                        :yay:

In all seriousness, I would agree in principle, since EA as a whole gets a whole lot of hate. However, no matter which way you spin it, EA has messed up with BF2. You CANT deny it. But yeah, as a company, I like them. Like the poster above me, I have gotten awesome customer support.

lol if EA was serious about anything at all as far as BF2, NONE of this would have went this way. I haven't bitched about the stats system, but all I can say about it going down is when dealing with a company like EA it just figures.

It has been one thing right behind another with this company. If you don't like rightfully bad mouthing a company for not getting the support they PAID for when purchasing the game, you should check into a head clinic.

Im sorry but after playing DICE games from the 1942 demo onwards i can say the support to the community has hugely decreased, all EA/DICE need to do is just set aside a month to try and sort out the bf2 issues so they can stop getting constantly flamed for not doing anything.

And as for the EA not fixing that stat system even tho they are getting paid is ridiculous, look at FH2,USI,PR an so on all the great mods that are coming out and are out already, they are doing all that for FREE,nada, nothing and look at what ea are doing with paid jobs..

There will be people working on this over the weekends, I know that much. I'll be around as much as possible too on the community side of things, in fact today is a Swedish national holiday. (It's fine, I'm not Swedish so I figure it's not my holiday )
