Re: EA responds to stats issue
I've been watching the boards for a few days for updates on the stat issue. I'm a noob, just bought the game a couple weeks ago. I will admit I love the stat system. I played bf1942 alot back when it was new and enjoyed it without the stats, but it is really nice to compete with my real life friends' stats and such. And honestly, i don't think it makes me any less of a teamplayer. There are going to be those who are out just for points, but there were just as many lonewolfs and bad team players in bf1942 and vietnam without a stats system, so I really have doubts that the stat system is to blame. It was really hard to find bf1942 servers where people actually worked together unless you played clan vs clan or with people you knew. I remember getting frustrated because 10 guys would be standing around waiting for a vehicle to spawn rather than helping the team.
For those of you telling people that the game is about fun... what is wrong with people who think stats are fun? How is it any different from the way a football players passes and td's are recorded and stuff like that? I certainly wouldn't stop playing the game just because the stat system crashes, but I am disappointed especially since I've only been playing for a couple weeks.
