If this site is drawing it's information from the EA stats server, then I would think this problem is also not an IP issue, since it seems that the d/b server is registering the places you're playing the game in. I can only think that the problem exists because someone messed with the
code that tells the d/b what kind of information to extract, and where to extract it from, and where to place it.

Exactaly, i did the same thing after reading this and is showed my last battle in the correct server at the correct time. Thats making me beleve that the stats are being recorded but as you said are being sent to other places where EA doesnt know about.

what if it was all being send to one player who hacked it. imagine that hahha

OK Idiot, how do suppose everyone earns rank and recieves unlocks.....? I see you have all the guns and unlocks you need, what, keep it down so others don't excel. Oh yeah, you may actually have to have some competition. Not everyone started playing 2 years ago, maybe some of the n00bies will get good and thump on you a little.

Well, if they are free to everyone, you still don't actually own them and you're not getting points on an unranked server. There is still the possibility of retreiving the points from the stats server outage.

I sent in a support ticket about this and what the status on the issue is and they replied with the same exact message from the FAQ. What kind of reply is that. And why is it taking so long to fix? Are there over 1000 stats servers? And how many technichians are assigned to this issue?

Well, if they are free to everyone, you still don't actually own them and you're not getting points on an unranked server.

Whats the damn point? Unranked servers may provide you with every weapon (bar SF) unlocked, so theres no need for playing for unlocks. Your stats are all in your head, if you suck, you suck, if youre doing better- you yourself are the judge of that.

So in the end whats the difference between unranked servers now and forked up ranked servers? None. Pick your standard server and go and play.

My response to the guy was because he was desperately trying to show that stats being down is harming the players who play to unlock new weapons, hes an ignorant fool. You can play with almost all weapons unlocked for you in an unranked modified server.

There is still the possibility of retreiving the points from the stats server outage.

So youre going to pad your butt off in the hopes of your efforts catching up with you?

The ONLY losers in this situation are the guys running ranked servers, clans, communities, whatnot- whos servers are populated by people who unfortunately frequent there for the stats and not for the company. I feel sorry for those people.

The other bunch are statwh0res who have immediately lost the interest in the game just because they cant record their KDR drop 0,002 points.

Oh what a shame.

In the meantime, some of the players can actually enjoy better gameplay, although even they should have found mods or unranked servers for that.

I find it quite ironic that people are saying **** the stats. They claim there's more teamwork going on nowadays than ever before. My guess is you people aren't playing and just talking out of your collective asses.

I'm getting TK'ed for no reason, I'm not getting any medic revives, I'm not getting any ammo resupplies, I'm not getting anything in fact. I played a dozen different servers yesterday and it's been the worst BF2 experience since I bought this game.

It seems that with no stats everyone got a licence to be a total dickhead. I'm getting TK'ed left and right, while medics just run by. I ask a support guy standing next to me for ammo and he just shoots me instead. Commanders just throw artillery on their own team.

Just because the stats are down, doesnt mean d!ckheads will leave. Those same a-holes who did the childlish play are still there. Im talking about the behaviour in well adminned servers with established playerbase, not the random, anonymous clan server that just happens to be filled.

You just went to the servers where the players treat the statless period as a time to fvck around, they are a-holes no less and they wouldnt have revived or supplied you anyway, so why the complaints?

a point im not sure has been discussed: during the stats trouble period, i found 3-4 servers that were updating fine, after every round like normal.

all those servers i was on "crashed" i got disconnected, got that "connection to server has been lost" screen. when i rejoined server was close to empty, and no more stats updating. coincidence? hmmmmm

Why are people who hate stats even posting in this thread? You guys have always had what you wanted..Its called unranked servers. No one has ever forced you to play on a ranked server, time to stop obsessing and go play what you've had since day 1.

best thing for anyone that is renting a ranked server to stop payment right now!
Same with Internet..if your having issues and you call you get a credit. If you have issues for over a month or two, stop payment till its fixed cause even if they cut you off hell your not out of nothing.

So don't pay for something your not getting. Once the server (Bf2 ranked Instance) providers stop getting money cause of this perhaps they will remove stats all together finally or fix it...which I hope for #1 :)

don't blame this on stats not being there..... its because whatever server you were on didn't have Good reliable Admins!

the 1942, and vietnam servers back in the day didn't this stat junk and the Admins on most servers kept them clean as thats how it should be!

The same thought occurred to me. If they don't care about stats, and the topic clearly says "STATS" Why TF do they open the post at all? THEN, why, if they're so damned smart, do they waste other people's time and the bandwidth with the same old same old bovine scatology of "you suck if you need stats"? The answer is, they have such low self-esteem, they have to vent themselves against the imagined defenseless using diatribes of banal veribiage designed to make themselves look superior in some way. It's more a neurosis than a useful statement about an activity such a gaming. Though they need therapy, they're too afraid they'll be exposed for what they are to go get it. SO, we have to continually wade through their superfluous chest beating to get to the meat of an issue that concerns US, not THEM. Go figure.

AS far as teamwork...remember, it's summer vacation. The brats are out of school and they've flooded the servers. You'll see the tide turn when the end of August/first of September rolls around. Just wave your car keys in their faces. They'll understand, though they'll deny it (see above.)
