Does anyone not understand why the ak-101 is loved so much?

Burst fire get you kill in close range.

It’s much easier to point at a target than point and click click click and ruin your aim, that why the g3 and f2000 are loved so much, the m16 pisses people off.

G36. Im sorry but the l85 may be good in single shot but its absolutely sucks in auto. Especially if you are someone like myself. Im used to taking on multiple enemies at a time. I need reliability in those situations. After one burst the L85 is totally useless. You can empty a full clip with the sights dead center on an opponent and not connect. That is just unforgivable. Whoever stated some where in the above post that an L85 can take out 5 guys in a row is just being misleading. The G36 can take out a squad of 5...something the L85 is unable to do due to the really retarded burst fire you have to do.

LEARN TO USE IT, you have no idea its potential, with almost 800 hours total as medic and 500 with the L85 and my kdr,spm,kpm so high with it i think i know how to use it effectively, 5 guys is an understatement, heck 8 guys on one clip is not unheard of. and your saying guys like yourself that is used to taking on multiple enemies at a time, ROFL lets see some stats fool, is your kill per min over 2?, kdr over 4? the G36 was not meant for multiple enemies and you will die quicker than any other gun. you people hate it because it takes the most skill to use effectively, if you open up full auto like i see most people doing with every gun you won't hit anything, the real reason people hate it is because they cannot hit anything with burst either, if you burst it like other guns you won't hit, go play with your G36 little one let the pro's use the L85 against you. while the kill screen splashes me killed you.

Screw it, I don't use unlocks and go straight for the AK101 if I can get it. I will pick up kits just to see if I find some other quality player that understands the lethality of that gun.

I have played hours with all the Medic guns and though I find a lot to respect with the G36e, I will still take an AK with full auto and pulse my shots.

But in the end, it is not whether the weapon is a n00b weapon or not (excluding the claymores)! It is whether you are alive and they are dead! And a G36e will get the job done quite well. But to each their own. My preference is still the AK101.

For me, I prefer the AK just wondering which of the 2 unlocks everyone prefers. I use to be a g36 whore, but I am slowly starting to understand why everyone is raving about the l85.

theres the spirit. if you pick it up here and there you will never know its true potential. if your used to the G36 point and click the L85 will frustrate you, when you master and i mean truly master the L85 you will discover its true potential as a pure killing machine, Page back button on mouse bound to single/auto to start. i find the AK101 an awsome gun only rivalled by the 47 but with any distance the L85 excells far above it, which is what most maps are like, semi long distance fighting, on kark its a different story at least the most popular part which is why people never understand its usefullness because most people when talking about guns are thinking of karkand where view distance is poor anyway. any other map it would rape the others.

If DICE used the guns the USMC used, and put it in BF2 then you wouldn't have that problem, I don't even think the Us Army uses the M16A2

The USMC is one branch, the Army is another.

The USMC use the M16A4 with the ACOG the Army uses M4A1

USMC m40A3 Army M24 you get the picture right?

SYDUS.....its obvious you base skills on stats. You love your stats...and I must admit they are impressive. But u should know ones skills should not solely be based on stats. With that said...now onto the L85.

You say learn to use it. I tell you man...I've tried. I can easily take the 1st guy down. Its the 2nd, 3rd, etc...thats the problem. Dont get me wrong...im not talking about situations where you are confronted one on one. Im talking about running into a sqaud of no less than 2. How do you control the burst without being killed 1st. I find the controled bursts too slow. If you even make a mistake and hold down the trigger longer than needed u might as well kiss your butt goodbye. No other gun takes me out faster than the L85 but I dont want to have to concentrate on hitting my controlled bursts everytime I run into 2 or more opponents.

EDIT: Just read your other response about the L85 on Karkand. Thats the map I play the most so my response to you was reflected on that map. But I still stand strong when I say its just not reliable taking out multiple enemies at once.
