Re: Redlining
I've only redlined someone once. I almost NEVER play anything other than Mashtuur anymore so when I do play on Gulf I'm always going for the attack chopper. This guy was soloing so I sorta waited my turn, I could tell he sucked by his score but I gave him some time. I decided it was my turn and he just hitches a ride.
This is after he told me to **** off earlier.
So I redlined him, I must say...it is a beautiful sight.

Re: Redlining
So are football, basketball and soccer... yet, we take those games seriously and play competitively, don't we? :)
That's not what I'm trying to convey. I will admit that my expectations are more often than not too high, but there is a strict minimum required for me to consider flying or gunning with someone else.
My requirement for gunners is simple: hit the majority of helis when they're not rolling, sliding or doing any other evasive maneuvers. That's as low as I will go... anything less than that and you're utterly useless to me in that seat.
Yes, sometimes people miss and missiles go through, but those have to be exceptions.
Pilots have a wider range of styles and skills: I usually prefer flying when I have to pub with unknown people because good pilots who prioritize properly, use evasive maneuvers and fly with intent are very rare.
I'm sorry if my comments made it sound like I was saying "if ur not redux, u cant fly with me!!~!11"

FTW :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
I hate when a gunner will fire a tv missle for no reason into the water just 2 seconds before we spot enemy helo, I line him up in time for him to WAIT for the tv to reload as we watch a tv missle fire at us, Im not that good of a pilot so Im not much of a dodger.
Thats why when I solo I rely on the element of surprise, take the unusal route, come up behind the enemy and shove a tv missle up his arse.
I tried that with a few gunners that by the time we get to where were going hes used up his tv's on meaningless shots.Comment

Re: Redlining
We disagreed on something?
And for those people who say "Oh, just teach the noob gunners", I play to win, not to teach someone how to fire one of the easiest weapons in the game. Thats what singleplayer was made for.Comment

Re: Redlining
Okay, and whats fun about getting owned again and again and again and again if your gunner won't fire the TV missile to take out an enemy helo, stinger, or mobile AA? Thats frustrating not fun. Winning is fun, losing isn't, and getting owned sucks.Comment

Actually, you can have fun and lose and not have fun and win

Re: Redlining
Ya right......, the chop with TV is one of the easiest weapons of BF2:laugh:
Then whats the prob??? Each server should be full of good pilots and gunners then wouldnt it!
No more redlining needed, hehehehe
Although I never redline gunners myself, I do understand why some pilots do it cuz some gunners just dont get it and they prob never will.
I love to solo also but only do it when nobody hops in.
I hope that some of u redliners have the maturity to give ur gunner a decent chance first!

Re: Redlining
TVing helos is fairly hard to get, but if my gunner cant take out a tank or an APC, let alone infantry, I do NOT want him in my bird.Comment
