freezing problem again!

i just upgraded my video card from a 6100 to an ati radeonx1600 pro 512 mb pcie i play with medium and high and still sometimes it still freezes and skips even if i have a low ping and im starting to think its my hard drive because it is very noisey and everytime it makes the slightest of noise it freezes for 2 seconds also im planning on buying a maxtor 80 gig hd and its supposed to be quiet are they? and will it help for gaming performance? and it just doesnt happen in games it also happens in windows and other prog. its an emachine hard drive because i was too lazy to buy a new one .I also dont have a copy of windows is there a way to copy all my data on adisk and put it in the hd?

What are you full system specs?

Yes maxtor (and any other decent make) are quiet

Yes there is a way of copying (cloning) your hard drive onto another one and here is the program to do it with: http://www.miray.de/download/sat.hdclone.html
