I'm a crap one

I can't run and shoot as sniper, take too long to aim and end up losing loads of kills because of this.
Still enjoy the sniper class though :)

Ha, yeah. Part of the reason I dislike snipers is because I suck as one, yet many others are so good.

I'm the sniper that's calling out for a medic, drowning in a pool of my own blood.

But when I'm actually alive, I tend to be the one that finds a position, takes one shot, moves, finds new position, shoots again etc etc.

I use the sniper for assault purposes.

Im with him L3ad, assault sniper. Takes more skill to shoot people in zoom from 30 meters away, than sit in one spot waiting for the occasional lone wolf to run by.

Normally I move around to get the best position on the enemy, usually about 100m+ from a flag watching it, especially if its been capped a few times. If I'm caught out in the open though I'll run n gun pretty well. Was on FuShe Pass the other week and got caught in the open by 4 guys on the ridge about 100m away, they were all prone so it was like a turkey shoot got all 4 of them with only a few scratches to show for it. Tbh bf2 isn't great for sniping because its so damned retarded (torso shot doesn't kill??!! HELLO THIS IS A .50 ROUND!) If you want to snipe go play Ghost Recon or OFP/ArmA, 1000m kills \m/.

This should never be possible for a sniper class - realism games or not.

I snipe first to take out enemy snipers, then to other targets by order of priority. If a medic arrives to revive, I shoot the medic.

I try to end the round with 0 - deaths as a sniper. So I do what it takes to be in an active sniping situation, but relatively safe from harm myself - as a true sniper would do.

The only thing I do when playing sniper, is try to make the enemy commander's life a living hell. I normally sneak into the back, figure out who the commander is and kill him over and over again. Sometimes I get a spec ops to come with me and destroy the UAV and Scan. Then I kill the the people the commander sends or sometimes the commander as they try to repair them. I also enjoy shooting the commander center mass and making him look for me for 15 minutes (the UAV and Scan are destroyed, and the people repairing them keep getting killed by some "jerk" mind you), which means his team are completely on their own.

im a bit of both really, I move aroudn the map but only to locations that I know are good spots and once the action moves on I will move to the next location.
