I think it's because we think it will all click into place one day so we still keep on trying, only for some cheats that can kill you with 1 shot whilst you on the run.

I play to keep myself entertained.

Singler playered campaign games just don't do it for me anymore; so I need the constant multiplayered action and gratification that online FPS's, RPG's and Strategy Games provide.

because its the only modern combat FPS game that has more then just infantry. and alot of people stay for the ranking system

If you don't play it, and you are still on the forums reading about it, then you have more of an addiction problem then the people who DO play it.

You never used the US single pump shotgun have you? I have killed two people with one shot from three feet away.

Funny then how 75% of the community plays Karkand IO FF=OFF servers.

I would think this is because BF2 has the most imbalance of infantry to vehicles. Compared to 1942 and BFV. Mainly jets and the AA. This imbalance alone has drove a lot of people to IO. Myself included.



To the OP. Most people enjoy the game and don't come to forums to complain. So I will speak for them. They still have fun doing what they feel like in the "sand box" style game that this is. I personally love playing IO. Any of the city maps would do. It hasn't gotten boring yet. I still love running to the next enemy flag and trying to cap it, killing or trying to kill anyone that stops me. I got into BF with BFV. Never really used vehicles in it. Never really used them in BF2. I just love ground pounding and BF seem the best place to do it right now.

I play because installing everything and all the packs took ages, I demand my time back. And the simple fact the game is still addictive.

Just because it's a great game. and the ranking system keeps it challenging for a long time unless you're hacking.

And lately (last 6 weeks) I have encountered a lot of hackers. Just too many one shot kills with L85A1, F2000, G36E, G36C even at quite distance. Makes the game annoying sometimes. But I find myself a good server and have a lot of fun playing...

Up to one point people play for the ranking system. After you've reached your personal "goal" you start playing for fun.
