That Illusion @$s hat is the biggest offender of admin abuse. DigitalAnarchy is infamous for booting people who take a vehicle they might want, banning for flying a jet, banning for flying a helo, banning if you start killing too many of them, playing on the opposite sides of their members too much. These imbeciles banned me for taking up an F35 and shooting down thier Jets that were raping our carrier, when I asked why I was banned they said I should have used the F35 to cap a flag instead of flying around shooting down other jets heres the link http://www.digital-anarchy.com/forum...pic.php?t=1279 When you ask for why they treat people so harshely they say join up and you wont have to deal with that anymore, so they basically black mail you into joining. I wonder if Digital Anarchy'll someday run out of people to ban. It'll sure be difficult for them to teamstack if they only have themselves to play against.

After reading all this, I am glad that I am in a clan and can play primarily on my own server!

Like I have posted before, I am an admin and one of the keys to running a server is to have rules that not only please the members of the clan, make the server a pleasant place for pubs to visit but are also easily enforcable. My experiences surfing around and seeing other clans and what has been posted here sometimes flabbergast me. How in the hell can an admin that I assume is also playing the game going to correctly decipher what altitude an aircraft was flying at when it engaged another?? My 10 years in the military taught me that the purpose of aircraft are to establish air superiority and allow the ground forces to capture ground objectives. Personally, I get pissed when a jet is wasting time with ground efforts while his teammates are getting the hell beaten out of them by the opposing teams planes. Why would you NOT want planes engaging one another

On the other hand, some of the things that pubs complain about are sour grapes as well. For instance, I have read complaints about clan members playing on the same side. Our clan is a very close knit group, we have yearly events where we all gather somewhere and spend a couple of days actually hanging out with one another versus in cyber space. We enjoy playing and chatting to one another which is why we run a server to play together. If things are too lopsided and out of hand, we separate but if all things are equal, we try to play on the same side. We have in game comms activated so it is not like pubs can not organize. I also heard complaints over servers that enforce language rules. We are a clan of adults, many of us have children and we allow them to play on our server so that we can monitor their gaming. We DO NOT tolerate foul language, racial slurs or players disrespecting other players. I don't understand why this should be a problem. In fact the large majority of our regular pubs, thank us for the atmosphere we are promoting. In my opinion, if you can't game without using profanity, you have other issues you need to work on. I am not saying that I am above an F bomb or profanity, I was a sailor for ten years after all but as with anything, there is a time and a place. An intelligent human being should be able to communicate without profanity when the situation calls for it.

It sounds like the original poster was treated shabbily as well as a number of others. Not much that can be done about it really however, I have noticed that servers that are run like that usually don't last long as a server without pubs will die. No clan that I know of has a large enough membership to have a decent server on it's own. When I join a server that for one reason or another ceases to be fun, I just disconnect and go find another but if I chose to stay, I do my best to follow the rules.

Well to be honest, they gave you a warning kick, they didn't ban you straight away, then they told you not to do it right? you probably kept bitching and complain that it's not on the rules, and the admin had enough.

Did you read my original post? I completely dropped the issue altogether. I didn't say anything else about it. The game went on for another minute after and the round ended. Before I even got into the next map I was banned.

I didn't attack the uncap, I attacked a jet that flew into it. There is no "safe zone" in war, and the rules didn't specify I couldnt pursue a target into the base. He didn't even get half way onto the carrier. As much as I dislike the "no attacking uncap" rule, I will respect it. I did not directly attack the uncap, I attacked a jet that flew OVER the uncap. Am I supposed to be chasing this plane half way across the map, then let him go free once he gets to his carrier? I dont think so. How about every other server who has the "no attacking uncap" rule....are we never allowed to follow a plane into it when we have a lock?



Wow...I love how people assume they know what happened even when I clearely tell them what went on. I didn't argue with them. I said THREE times, that the rule wasn't in the load screen, but they kept saying it was (I had read the load screen twice at this point). After those 3 messages I typed, that was it. I didnt say another word. Im not complaining about this. Im just telling you what happened, and I was wondering if I was the only person that thought this was wrong. Obviousely I'm not. I could care less about playing in that server, and I wouldn't even waste my time trying to talk to the admins again about the issue.

I hardly ever get kicked for 2 reasons.

1. I follow the rules
2. If I dont like the rules i go find a server where i can play the way I want instead of coming to the Tbf2 forums and complaning

get over it there are over 1000 populated ranked servers at any time of the day and unless you live in the central republic of Africa you should have a good ping on at least 30 servers.

thats the thing about my kick/ban, I was following the rules better than their own clan members, and I actually helped them enforce the rules by telling squad mates what they were allowed to do and dont do
I pinged really good on that server...15-25 it was also one of my favorite maps so that was a bonus, their problem was I wasnt allowed to own THEM, if I was on their team it was ok for me to give it my all, but if they were on the other team I was accused of raping the server, attacking uncaps etc etc


so my take on it is there will ALWAYS be an admin that lets the admin powers go to their head, if you find a server thats admined well and you like that server then I suggest you stick with it..........either that or get your own server

agreed. i think it's because people have a REALLY hard time separating personal problems from administrative problems. they figure they can resolve personal problems with their administrative powers and it's perfectly okay.

I loved getting kicked for owning them. Their admission of my superiority makes up for it, really...

After that, I just didn't bother going in there: why would you, when it's obvious that

1- teams will be heavily stacked,
2- the rules will not apply to your aggressors,
3- should you effectively fight back and gain ground, your butt will be booted?

There are far better places to play.

Well if there is a reason, Id love to hear it. If you want, you can go into that server and ask if they remember the incident.
