Well, I'm not an idiot Gun Slinger. Additionally, I'm usually the best match for the chop... why give it to someone who will waste it? I would be purposefully helping the opposite team

I still think they should've made the spawn times equal for everything: that way, odds are everyone gets a chance to take a vehicle but if no one's waiting for it, hey... it's right there waiting for you.

It could be solved so easily--the vehicles respawn before the the drivers/pilots that just died while in the cockpit/drivers seat. Simple and easy-it's the price you pay if you die--your vehicle is gone.

Stealing a vehicle actually says a lot about that person. If you see people waiting at the heli pad, or hanger, and you KNOW they are waiting for a vehicle, its an extremely selfish and inconsiderate thing to go in there and try to take the aircraft before they get in. Why would you do that? The only reason is that you want it for yourself and you could care less about the other people. Like I said....inconsiderate and selfish. Even if your team is losing, who cares, its just a game. Let the people that were waiting for it take it. Don't be an as* and steal it from them.

You are also selfish if you think that you are the best pilot, and letting anyone else fly would be a "waste". Get over yourself. If the other people aren't as good as you, who cares. So you may lose the round....oh no.....your life is over. If the other people are bad, then get in line cuz you know they are going to die soon.

... and that kind of thinking keeps you from achieving more than you could. If you're losing, it's time to let the better team members fly: ironically, you're pretty f*cking selfish as well to allow personal satisfaction at the cost of defeat... but that's a story for another day.

I know your the uber leet god at flying a helo Sloi, and I truly respect your skills, but whos to say that your selfishness doesnt take away from someone who is just as good, I mean, ok the guys in the helo arent doing so good, so someone else decides to wait for the helo and they are standing there waiting their turn.....you, thinking that the helo guys suck, decide to cut in line....now you just cut in line in front of someone who may do just as good of a job as you, but you dont know that because you just made a note to yourself that you are the best man for the job and your taking the helo at whatever cost

best thing to do is walk the other way if there is someone standing there already, because you never know if the guy is better than you or not till he gets in the air, if you want the helo, then stand there like a retard waiting for it to get blown out of the sky and respawn

I am not by any means a great pilot.....better gunner but not a good pilot, so I told a squad mate that he could have the helo next time....well there wasnt a next time because me and my other squad member didnt die the rest of the round, we actually did really well together and the other guy stood on the helo pad the whole time waiting his turn....yes he was a retard
the tables could have easily been turned, but I wouldnt sit there waiting

I misread something you said earlier, which looked like you were agreeing with someone taking a plane even if someone was obviously there waiting for it. I know you're not much of a team player as it is, so I assumed the worst. As I said, I misread your statement in this context

Re: whats your opinion on "wait in line" rule

The problem I'm seeing is that people seem to think that because they made there way over to the jet/chopper first, they assume it's theirs. Even if another player has spawned after them and gets to the same point they are in relationship to the spawning vehicle.

There's several problems with this line of thought.

What about the guy who spawns before everyone with the intention of getting a jet or chopper, but happens to have spawned further away then the next or third player? Wouldn't it really be his chopper or jet and not the other two players?

If it's tough luck he spawned further away, then then it should be equally tough luck if some one gets to the same point you have before the vehicle spawns.

You can't start discriminating a "first" player, when there's so many factors who that actually is.

Personally I think once all players are in proximity of the vehicle it should be jump ball. At that point you all have the the same and equal chance of getting the vehicle. Of course using anything other then the enter button is dirty pool. Of course I can see that's not a possibility.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The vehicle that produces the most advantage in relation to time spent mastering it, will attract the most shallow players on average. The more the advantage, the more douchewhistles you'll get. Not all of you, just a greater percentage. Less advantage less desire to be the "big man" or "hero". Less advantage, less ability rack up your E-penis points. In 600hrs I've only seen TKs for a tank twice, I think. That I can remember.

It's no wonder you faqheads steal all the jeeps ;-). I always see them drifting around the tarmacs like shopping carts left out over night at the supermarket.

Come on, it's not that difficult. We're talking about players who are 'waiting in line'. When someone is clearly waiting for the plane, and another player scoots in and grabs it by w/e means comes up.

Achieving more than I could? Its a game...who cares if you win or lose the round. Your clearely playing to win, Im playing to have fun. Sure I want to win, and Ill do anything and everything I can to win, but I WONT disrespect others to do it like you would (and don't say you don't disrespect others. Cutting in front of them because you think you are better and therefore more deserving is disrespectfull). Like Gun Slinger said, you shouldn't assume that your the best and your the only one who deserves the chopper. If someone dies in a chopper, they move to the back of the line, so I don't know why your worried about them getting it again before you. Your talking as if there are SO many people that suck in front of you in line, and thats a bit dramatic. Realistically, there may be 5 people waiting for a chopper (I rarely see that many crowded around a heli pad. Only at the start of the round, but after that, they go do other things). Even if you are last in line, you only have to wait for 2 chopper deaths for it to be your turn. If the other people suck as much as you want us to assume they suck, then you won't be waiting long will you? Or is it that your just so impatient, that you NEED the chopper NOW, and don't want to wait for others to take their turns?

ROFL! Nice job trying to turn this around and make me look like the bad guy for being in support of people not cutting in line of others who have been waiting patiently. I don't even know where you were trying to go with that. Explain to me what my "personal satisfaction" is. Is it having a civilised/fun round with mature people that take turns with vehicles? An enjoyable round knowing that when Im waiting for a jet/heli I wont have some as*hat coming in and stealing it from me? A stress-free playing experience not having to rely on where I stand, which direction I face, making sure the other people dont push me away from the spawn point, and having the vehicle spawn, I finally grab a seat, only to be TKd by someone who just spawned in and wants it for themselves? Then YES, I am selfish for my own personal satisfaction. If those are wrong, then please tell me what you had in mind when you said I was selfish to allow personal satisfaction at the cost of defeat.

disfigured: I know what your saying, but thats a whole other subject. Ent|ty is right in saying that we are only talking about people who purposley cut in line in front of others. Were talking about the idea of "stealing" a vehicle, were not going into technicalities of who spawns when.

I understand the concept, but think it's like any other administered rule, there's always gray areas.

Here's one. Your 20 paces from the Helopad. But another player drives by you and get's to the chopper first. Are you still first? Did he steal it? Or was he just luckier to spawn further away, yet near a jeep?

Another. Your 10 paces from where the vehicle spawns, the vehicle appears, , but another player spawns in front of you closer, he runs for the vehicle and beats you to it. Stolen , or just rotten luck?

Every other vehicle in the game and the players trying to get them accept the randomness of spawning, timing, and vehicle spawning as what determines who gets what vehicles.

That's the way it works with every other vehicle in the game except choppers and Jets, and the vast majority of players have no problems with it being "just part of the game". Sometimes you get the tank sometimes you don't. If there are two people sometimes your in the .50, if there are 3 going for it, sometimes you get diddly squat.

Just because there are more people involved with the air vehicles shouldn't change this dynamic. It's random, and it's fair, as long as you don't look at every vehicle with in your grasp as yours. Sometimes you'll be the player who spawns closer, while others are attempting to make their way to the vehicle. Sometimes the program will pick you to get into the vehicle if all players are equal.

Because you people can't accept the fact that there will be rounds where sometimes you get the damn thing a lot, and sometimes you don't, is what causes the problems. Realistically if you acted like everyone else in the game it would fall somewhere in between those two extremes after a few rounds.

Your attempting to solve a problem that doesn't exist if you just do what everyone else does for the other vehicles in the game.

It's your TKing , flash banging, and intentional suicides, that are the problem. Then people come up with a supposed solution to this tomfoolery and act as if every one has to accept it.

If you just cut out the crap that causes the need for the "waiting in line", then you wouldn't need the damn line anyway.

Tell me that's not completely logical. Because it works 98% of the time for everyone else playing the game with every other vehicle.

There's no difference if it's 3 waiting for a tank ,or 7 waiting for a single seat jet. If you want a more popular vehicle your going to get it less because of the numbers of people going for it. That does not mean everyone else is going to get it more, as long as you don't act like a bunch of retards.

Essentially your saying we're a bunch of idiots so we need this rule as a solution to that problem.

I'm asking you not to be a bunch of idiots as the solution. Oh wait we're talking about arrogant self promoting braggarts.

Never mind. Best form a line then, and hope the person behind you doesn't TK you anyway.
