It's not about me searching for stuff.. its about 2 debaters that need to support their claims, and for the rest of us to learn from the experience. That's what forums are for.
One of you claims that PB can bust anyone by simply taking a screenshot, the other says that PB can take a screenshot, and not show cheats..
If you want to know more on how PB works and all I suggest getting down and dirty and register on *** or 187 sites. There are reasons why those two links are at the top of the list:
The first link directs to the developers of the Punkbuster system and explains the PB screenshot system.
The second link provides visual details and examples of how the Punkbuster screenshot system works.
Sure, it was a simple search that anybody can find, but that does not undermine the fact that these links are reliable and very informative. These links deserve to be at the top of the list of the searches.
If I remember earlier in this thread, you stated that PB screenshots will not display any of the cheats if it is not registered into the anti-cheat system, as if the shot shows the player is playing clean:

I guess the question is what this "fix" is for who? The Punkbuster system, as in it will detect these cheats that supposedly should've blacked out the screen, or for the cheats that can come out clean without having to black out the screen? Seriously you are an idiot and don't know how to use your common sense. It's hard to play a match or a scrim when the game is minimized, is it? Yeah I'm focusing here on competitive side, not pubs. Comparing times of PB ss taken with the time you played the match should resolve any doubts about game being minimized and also it's not like PB takes a ss every hour, you can have PB take ss very often but it might resolve in lag when server becomes overwhelmed. Therefore that are recommended settings.
The fix is not for PB, it's for hacks. The fix is to make PB look legit instead of making them look black. I read your little links through and through ages ago when I took interest in PB, so your little explanation is worthless to me.

vik1ng your wrong about your assumption that PB needs to have detected the cheat for a PB SS to work. All a PB SS is, is a screenshot of what the player actually sees on their screen, nothing more than that.
Yes some cheats do have PB SS blocker which means a screenshot can return black. However that can also mean as mentioned they were minimised to desktop at the time. If you can confirm they are playing as in points steadily increasing and all the PB SS's return back black then there is a high chance they are using a PB SS blocker or it may be packet loss or a video driver problem.
There are also PB SS cleaners which can either show a clean screen without the hacks or it may show a SS that is selected of a BF2 screen or some are silly enough to use a totally different SS from something else as pointed out in another thread here.
