Nice thread, I'm glad EA finally got around to do something right for a change. However is the only reason you got that screenshot because you were on the same team as him or did you use battlerecorder to get that one? I'm asking because there was a high ranked player (3 stars) glitching on wake island. He was hiding in the building where the tank spawns for china at the main base. He was killing while in the building and everytime the tank spawned he would jump in it and start raping. When the tank was about to die he would jump back into the building again. Lather rinse repeat, this went on for ages and I wish I remembered to grab a screenshot. What's the screenshot button?

Hit the "prt scrn" button in the upper right-hand corner of your keyboard...above the "insert" button. Then alt-tab out of BF2, open Paint, and paste (ctrl-V) and save. I'm sure you could also use fraps and make a hotkey that does all this in one step or I believe even from BF2, but the above stated way is just the way I always do it.

Give me the proof that PB screenshots are dependent of how PB implements its anti-cheat system. I'm aware of how PB implements it as you described, but as far as I know, I'm not aware of any connection.

Again, I described how PB works, just think for a bit and see how it makes sense. Why there are so many hackers still running free? OMG would be because PB doesn't know how to get them, because it doesn't know what hacks is he/she using? oh noes, of course not, PB just doesn't feel like catching them, I mean why bother so late in the game, PB got lazy and is on vacation.

I can take several PB screenshots right now and claim that I know how it "works"; however, you only know how to take the snapshot, where it will be placed, and what it will look as.

wow... Since you also misinterpret things I'll explain thins one too. What I meant is that like yourself (I assume), I've also taken numerous screenshots before. Snapshots? Get back to me kid when you will own a server or rent it with no support from the company therefore leaving you to figure things out on your own.

As for your personal experience, you have the same mentality as many people in BF2 here have: accusing people who are hacking without any proof, only speculation.

I'm sorry to break it to you but you're not special, kid. Because I don't have 1000 posts on every forum account you assume that I am the same as others, your typical casual player who doesn't know how things really work. It's like high rank BF2 noob accuses a guy owning his *** with a low rank. I've been playing this game since it came out. I've been in quite few clans (part of one currently), I pub and play competitively I'm just not vocal about it. As far as haccusations go, I'm just having fun on forums and have a laugh at guys like you, I never took them seriously and never will, I have plenty to worry about in RL, it's just a way to kill some time at work. This is what I find funny in most "forums communities" because some people don't post a lot or not active on "teh interents" all forumites (sp?) assume that they's stupid and uneducated people, lol.

We had some hackers on our server the other day kicked and banned them then looked at there stats and found they also stat pad gave it to a friend at EA and hey presto they have all been reset sucks to be them..

Well I can't believe it but it actually did work. A report direct to EACS got Leechasd|Saber stats reset for hacking. It only took 5 days from the date of the report.

That is my 1st successful report and only report directly through EACS. All other reports have been made through BFROE or BF2RS and sometimes both. This report was also made through BFROE by a BFROE admin disfunctional.

Oh and this is just one of the many tards that have been banned for abusing admins and disruptive gameplay, so i checked his stats and he is a blatant padder (89 kills fave victim for one). Reported to ROE, verified and nothings been done. This was about 6 months ago.

How so? Do you have an article or link that relates how PB implements its anti-cheat system to that of its PB screenshots? I agree with Viking how PB updates and protects games from many hacks and cheats, no arguments about that.

The question is, is the PB screenshot system dependent on that system to show hacks on its screenshots? Read the arguments more clearly and maybe you'll have a better understanding of this debate.

What you said, the fact that what we think is not what it is, is precisely the reason why people argue and why they must argue. It is no relevation that what we see/think is not what it is. It's an obvious statement that even a child can point that out (my 10 year old brother iterated something similar). The problem is the fact that this statement of "What you see is not what it is" also applies to you. We both think each of us are right while the other is wrong, yet that is not so, and thus to find out whoever is right or wrong, we must debate or argue. What we must also bring into this argument is also the use of facts and accepted beliefs to support our statements, such as how PB updates and immunes itself from hacks and cheats; we both agree on that one. From that paragraph alone, you seem to be confident that you are right, that you are correct, and that I am wrong. It seems so obvious to you such that it MUST be obvious to the world. Here the statement of perception vs. reality breaks that relation. No, this isn't obvious, this isn't black and white, and it certainly isn't something where common sense is enough to reach to a conclusion. Nevertheless, you believe that what you think is what it is, as a person who truely understands the concept of perception vs. reality would've never used it to his or her own advantage/argument as he or she knows it also applies to him or her. As for the person who agreed with you with no contributions or explanations to why, yes, he did write a short explanation, but that only displayed his lack of comprehension of this debate: he agreed with you because you explained how PB anti-cheat system immuned itself, an explanation I agree and believe also.

The difference between us is whether the PB screenshot system is dependent on the immunization of the PB anti-cheat system.

As for using common sense to find "cool conclusions". Here's an excerpt of one of my replies of using common sense to find facts. It's quite old as shown in the first paragraph, but I think it still conveys my opinon of it well:

History has proven that common sense is not the most reliable source of information or confirmation of claims. It was common sense to make Egyptians believe the sky was a body of a goddess, it was common sense to make Europeans believe the Earth was flat, it was common sense that made people believe in Geocentrism, it was common sense that Germans believed the Moon was composed of ice, and the grandest of all: it was common sense that Greeks relied on to formulate several hypothesis that were accepted as fact. They believed flies originated from garbage and Aristotle believed objects could only be exerted by one force at all times.

Overall, it was common sense that was the "basis" and foundation of many assumptions that were proven false. Common sense is useful for making sound choices and explanations, but never as a foundation or support for facts. Common sense to me seems to be derived from our instincts so that we can AT LEAST understand the world and our life even if it is not correct; it's better to comprehend a lie than to be oblivious in pursuit of truth. It wasn't common sense that brought man to the moon nor was it common sense that developed science and progress of human civilization. Is it no surprise that mathematics and common sense usually conflicts with each other? In conclusion, do not trust your common sense to judge whether a statement is fact or not, it's merely trying to simplify this vast complex web-like gray world to a "black and white" world.

Common sense may let us find "cool conclusions," but the question is, is that conclusion correct? If not, that conclusion, regardless whether it is cool or not, can go to hell.

Sunchaser: Aren't .jpg image formats acceptable? That format, as you no doubt know, is usually 1/10 the size of that of .png.
