BF2 is not all one game if you like.

I think of it as 3 games, infrantry, vehical and flying.

It used ta be that skilled infrantry was rare before IO but now every1 does IO so its very common. While its rare ta have very good pilots because of access of planes is limited. I used to maintain a 1:1 KD ratio with all the dam tank spawn killers and arty while on foot. Now because of IO it is much easier.

Just look at how good people are in a certain area determines their skill. For example, BlueAssult, ranked number 6 in the world, i would say is one of the best players in the world.
He is awesome flyer, very good stats with guns and can use a tank well. Therefore very good all round player.

SPM is bad for measuring because a medic on karkand should always hit gold, but then they do well as medic it is a skill, but in comparison they gain poiints quicker than any other class, bar support if used correctly.

What would seperate the boys from the men in IO is to know how many times you have actually died without being revived. I go on games with friends and we used to all be medic, like today i was sniper and 1 medic followed us. i got kd ration of 4 to one (no claymores hehe), but had there not been a medic i would have to run back each time, i would have to run back each time + have a death. We have games with like 50kills 5 deaths because we are in a pack of medics... People die far more than it shows in their deaths because of revives lol

I do it anyways. Big deal if you loose 2 points.

I was playing a TWL patch few months ago and I started to go to cap a flag since no one was there. All of a sudden, all I could see on the screen was 4-5 guys suiciding to prevent me from getting that flag.

As long as you don't have/get your Purple Heart, or get anywhere near it, it's all good.

I end up suiciding while commander to fix stuff, 'cause my idiot team doesn't know/want to repair...but then ***** and try to mutiny on me when they don't get UAVs.

As long as they have fun playing the way they do, I doubt they'll care too much.

I've only skimmed through and read half this thread, so maybe someone else already made this point, but citing one's current stats is often a deception in that these same people fail to disclose the fact that their current account is not their first (or even maybe second or third) account.

No one starts out life a BF2 god. If you have the need to convince the public that you did, then you need to get your priorities straight.

It doesn't matter now. I removed anything that could be construed as an insult.

                                QFT.

I prefer to help the team in any capacity. I'm not saying I'm the best teammate ever, but I at least understand the teamwork aspect and try to achieve the greatest benefit for my team.

FYI, I hate playing AT, but it happens. And yes, I play medic a lot. Support as well. Then again, there are probably 5 people on this forum who have ever actually played a game with me. 3 of which, I haven't seen post in a long time. However, just because my K/D ratio is under 1, does it make me a bad player? I hope not. Then again, when I join a game, no one has any idea what my stats are other than my rank (unless they stalk me, which seems possible...).

Do I feel offended that a <1 K/D ratio isn't "good?" No. Opinions and assumptions are like assholes... everyone has one and they all stink.
