yes actually no need to flame me, I do know what I am talking about when I say spoofing your hardware is illigal, and to the smart *** who thinks he is in the clear most countries have this law. Alright, instead of just ranting, CITE A SOURCE. I'll believe you the second you cite a reliable source. I have never heard of hardware spoofing to be illegal. I know e-mail spoofing, IP spoofing and other stuff is illegal, but that's because its associated use is scamming, phishing and e-breaking & entering. Hacking games has never been a crime, or all these people already caught would surely have been prosecuted.

Surprised you didn't come to us first Ghost with this mate? Clan members having their GUID busted is not good advertising regardless of how it has occured.

Only option for a clan that doesn't tolerate cheaters is to give them the boot.

I'm not sure about hardware spoofing being illegal, never heard about that but its definitely not PB legal. Most of the hardware spoofers are detected by PB.

When I get the time I will research the laws regarding spoofiung, as you can imagine the article I read it in was some time ago. Why would it be illigal you may ask? Because the only moral reason you would need to spoof it is to do something "bad" And when people do bad things the governments of this world like to know what hardware you used to do it. Its like putting on fake finger prints, the cops dont like it :-) But I promise I will find the sources. Anyway I suggest this guy contact Evenbalance, but dude there is a 99.9 percent chance its a legit ban.

I saw on other forums today cheaters whining, "my roommate did it" "my brother did it" this one, "my Dad did it" LOL!!!

It's an awesome game that can be ruined by cheaters. It's great to see PB nail these cheaters at long last.



IMO - As a matter of privacy, spoofing your own hardware can not be illegal. Spoofing the ip address or hardware of someone elses computer is illegal.

Are you telling me I can erase my ban by spoofing my HD serial? I don't really have hard fact, but the way games handle CD keys has nothing to do with HW. PB HW GUID is a different thing though. Maybe in freeware games like AA GUID is actually a HW GUID.

I'm pretty sure me and my mate both have the same GUID when he's using my CD-Key.

Lucky your friend may or may not have the same GUID, but if he does it would be because he insurted your CDkey so that cdkey is already registerd and it shows up as the registerd GUID. which means if he hacks you get banned as well. And no you would have to do more than spoof your hardwair to get around a ban. But i am not into telling people how to do it lol

Back when I was GUID in AA for having my date was wrong (pb later lifted the ban since it was in error). I was spoofing and pb never detected it, even used my AA acount I got pb'd on while waiting on pb.
