BF2 is on the rise if anything, I have seen several new people that just got the game on this site alone. That plus the people tha are currently already playing it along with the people comming bck from 2142....

I think theres a strong chance it may beat CS:S out on the charts after the holidays, all depends.

I'd go as far to say that BF2 has 5 years left on it. My clan has recieved a flood of recruits in the past few months and there's plenty of other clans that won't be letting go of this game for some time. We have two BF2 servers that are packed every night as well as a 2142 server, which only 3/4 clan members out of about 20 visit regularly.

But anyway, thanks for the fortnightly 'IS BF2 DYING?!?!' post.

Yeah, "only" 200...

Seeing as BF2 is ALWAYS 4th or 5th on the Xfire top 10 list (it keeps switching with CS 1.6) I wouldn't say it was dying. In fact, compared to BF2142s performance (it's always 10th on the list), it's growing more than anything.

hmm, i thought cs 1.6 was still the most played online game ???


as for bf2 dieing out.. well i still see alot of servers in the browser, but most of them are crap servers and in other countries. theres maybe 5 GOOD 64player servers in the uk that are populated, there used to be a good 20-30!! so yes its kinda dieing out.

Yeah BF2 is still going strong. I bought BF2142, but went back to BF2 because it runs much faster on my computer. Plus all the bugs are pretty much worked out.

I say it has at least 2 more years in it of online play.

Well I got Bf1942 and BFV well after BF2 and I think its safe to say that BF2 is more popular than the earlier (or am I wrong?) and the two earlier versions are still played a lot. I don't think that it is too late to get it, though in the beginning you might find it a bit hard against some or even many players who have been in the field for over a year and know it inside out.

iv lost intrest with all the hackers iv seen, comeing around corners shooting hs's at me and they dont have a UAV and such... im going to back GW cuz of that reason, really really hard to even get a "bot" into gw

Hardly, mods are booming and new people apear to be coming to the game in a constant stream. As everyone else is saying she has a few more years in her yet :)
