1. You forgot to mention that you dont even have to hit someone to wound them with it. You cant "miss by inches" because the sheer velocity of the round will rip flesh off as it passes you.


2. With an M82 and a max effective range of 1500m (over a mile) whats with this scope that I can barely see 300 yards with? None of these rifles were represented well..

dunno about no 1, but yes the zoom level is quite gay :|

50. BMG?

2700fps, not very fast, but w/ 650-750 grain bullets (very powerful, & high cross-sectional density) "cut the wind" nicely

i was looking for that video someone posted ages ago with the 50cal blowing a manhole cover to bits, but couldnt find the exact one. came across this documentry on the 50cal tho, tis quite interesting and surprise surprise its DEADLY :laugh: http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?...sniper+manhole

The caliber 50. BMG (Browning Machine Gun) was not developed to be used as an anti-personel round

The 50. BMG was originally used in WW1 as an anti-tank round when @ the time tank armour was 1/2" thick

You can be laying there for like 20 secs with your gun scoped on a guys head and when you shoot it miss's. In 1942 I was a awesome sniper, I could pin people with moving head shots while they moved horizontally across my screen and I figured it would be the same in Bf2. Boy was I ever wrong :laugh:

The problem is that in bf1942 the bullets were laser-like ... the moment u pull the trigger is the moment when the bullet hits the target ... so it doesn't matter if the target is moving or not, the bullet hits what u shot at ...
BF2 considers the velocity of the bullet ... so it actually travels some time before it hits the target (or not), just like in real life (not so sure about that, physics may be exagerated) ...
The thing is ... if u'r aiming at the head of a moving soldier u'll never kill him ... cause when the bullet acctualy gets to where you were aiming the guy wont be there anymore ... Try to aim a little further, so the bullet and the guy's head are at the same place at the same time ...
This is veeery hard to do (at least for me it is) ... so my advice is, follow the target with your sight, since u'r good at maintaining the aim, when the *****r
stops or starts to run towars you blow his brains out ...
