My opinion on sniping in Bf2

Bf2 sniping has got to be the most god awful disgustingly terrible sniping ever. You can be laying there for like 20 secs with your gun scoped on a guys head and when you shoot it miss's. In 1942 I was a awesome sniper, I could pin people with moving head shots while they moved horizontally across my screen and I figured it would be the same in Bf2. Boy was I ever wrong :laugh:
Im a pretty good sniper in 2142 though, according to my stats (or what they were before I got base raped on 2 servers last night) my accuracy with a park 52 was 50% accuracy and I had 30 some kills to 5-10 deaths XD

Yup, then you get sniped by a non-sniping weapon, such as the PKM or G3SE. Welcome to Bull****ing****2.

I can outsnipe a sniper with a G36C; He had a good shot at me, unfortunately- the sniper on scope isn't very motion-friendly, when you're chasing targets with it. Especially on online games.

yes it is motion friendly, no problem to hit moving targets in other games...

It's just a hell of a lot easier to snipe with a PKM then with medic weapons IMO...

Sniping is one of the easiest tasks in the game........... If you can aim.

Sniping seems to depend alot on ping, Lag and your system. Obviously aiming comes into it too

Id agree it depends on latency, pc spec and individual skill. If you are misisng any of these three ingredients you can expect to get owned by the game.

Personally I find sniping pretty good and realistic. The fact that every 13 year old noobie cant do it as soon as they start playing (like in CSS) is even more realistic. Sniping isnt easy and should take practice and experience. Once you are pproficient in the skills you can crack headshot after headshot off.

Well patients my friend patients only go for easy shots then or get the SVD that gun is good for short distince

BF2 does have a hit box problem, but sniping is still fun and I score ok doing it. It's not going to be fixed, and don't forget all the weapons have this hit-box issue.

Yes, but make snipers very weak, even weaker then they are now armor-wise so that if they even are seen, they die.

Right now they're toting around a huge (at least in real-life) M95 armor piercing sniper rifle, jump->proning with it, running into a nest of enemies laying claymores and throwing nades.

"Combat sniper" is a term that should not exist in BF2. Make their sniping power powerful, but make them die by throwing a rock at them.

Then obviously, you've never tried to tote around an M95, or shot one for that matter. Then you'd say it's totally unrealistic.

yea yea sure sniping in bf2 is realistic... not killing in one shot unless its a headshot.. a real m95 can blow holes through just about anything!
crappy zoom lvl
exagerated bullet physics
etc etc

sniping was nerfed badly in this game, if u cant see that then your clearly a *******
