when the JSF has burners it's very agile and fast indeed. If you apply his statement to a JSF w/o burners, he's correct. The JSF is like a damn freight train when the afterburners are depleted.
That seems like a stupid idea, as soon as you ran away he would turn and kill you. If you are going for the bomb mode kill, you have to stick with it, and kill him fast.
Leave and run with burners the moment he begins to react not when hes halfway into a relaiating turn.

F35B is the most agile jet with and without burners, period. The illusion of a fat yellow schoolbus occurs because people usually go high up using burners, but all jets are a lot more agile up high. On all altitudes, everywhere, F35B is way faster in control response and roll rate, period.
The silly, stupid and pathetic thing in BF2 dogfighting is that turn radius singlehandedly overrules most categories. And J10 has a nice, small turn radius.
There are a lot of ways to try to equalize even a little bit, but fact remains- you fly any fighter against F35B and you dont even break a sweat. You fly F35B against any jet except F15, and it feels like going on a knife run against a PKM. Which is why a lot of people love the challenge. Fvck me Freddy, every time I take a jet against F35B, I feel like cheating...

I respect your opinion and while you always post some crazy detailed charts and diagrams with very valid information; I definately beg to differ on that statement. And this is opinion-based only so maybe I'm wrong. Regardless, I'll take a J10 w/o burners over an F35 w/o anyday of the week. That is if I played anything other than USMC which I don't.

F-35B is the MOST agile jet over ALL categories... EXCEPT... turn radius.
That is probably one of the main causes for the missle magnet status.. that and the hitbox is likea brick wall.
F-35B responds to the touch instantly... where as with any other jet there is a slight lag.. Not only is it the most responsive, but the speed of the roll is fastest too..
So anyone who says the F-35B feels like a "schoolbus" or "fat lady"... you are either a J-10 whore and have spent maybe 10 minutes in the F-35B all together.. and got sick of getting owned..
Or, you fly both jets, but you have no idea what you are talking about because you don't have enough experience in the jet.
J10 is the closest thing to F35B both with and without burners. The thing is, J10 is slowed down with some crazy longer response time, which I can never get used to. Its all in files and tested out. The reason why you might think that way is, F35B suffers from tremendous speed loss in turns and its "average" speed is pisspoor, while J10 the highest average speed. So, a 5-10% difference in roll rate, but since J10 is faster, you get that little illusion. As for response control- F35 acts as soon as you push the stick, there is no other jet that does that.
But to give you credit- generally, in roll speed the difference between J10 and F35 is just small enough to render that advantage for F35B almost useless. In order to cash in, in roll speed advantage, you gotta play off the response time.
The only one in the top 100 worth even mentioning is metallica. Everyone esle just J10 whores, and they are extremely easy to shoot down....
I am absolutely certain there are other great pilots in the top 100, not just metallica, and that guy obviously wasnt just a J10 whore, he was in a MIG. No need to insult people, especially when you dont know every single one of them I am sure.
