Wow, zekerssneakers posts here. I played with you the other day on Wake, you were the freaking pwn in the F35.... I think you were 45-0 at one point, then you got shot down finally.

On topic, The F35 kicks *** in bombing, and for stunts, but against a J-10 I would rather be in a Stinger.

Yeah I think macvibes was in the J-10, makes for a very easy round.

Colony is far better than mcmt / phantom. He's the only pilot I've ever worried about playing against. I learned more when flying against him than every other pilot combined.

Haven't seen him around in a couples months though, he's probably destroying things in 2142 with the retarded things they call jump jets in that game.

Nah I havent even played 2142 for 3 weeks now....its just pretty lame after 2 or 3 weeks of it. The aircraft are very lame.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Armed Assault has to offer. Reminds me of the game that got me into playing on the PC, Ghost Recon, and takes it to another level with vehicles. Funny because the original Operation Flashpoint came out that same year IIRC.

As far as I'm concerned personally, it is already better than 2142 since I see harriers are in the game already, with more to come

Oh and not to mention the use of TrackIR4, which allows viewing in all directions without using keyboard or joystick, just your head.

Wow, I've never seen that TrackIR system. After your post I looked it up and it looks amazing. That would add sooo much immersion to any FPS. Very cool. Hopefully the price will drop a bit so the masses can enjoy it as well.

Nope, no real jets. They have jump jet like things that seem to fly along at helicopter speed in BF2. Also, the weapon compliments really suck. In general, BF2142 is a waste of money.

No, they aren't jets at all. Doesnt have a full range of motion, slower, weapon loadout is weaker and more like a chopper. No flares, chaff....just some stupid shield that doesn't even protect against it's biggest threat, EMP missiles. What a great idea

EA/DICE gave jets the ultimate nerf, extinction. Which is sad, because with that future theme, they could have really done some cool and crazy things with it.

I'd really like to see a game where the different faction sides had really different styles when fighting in the air. Even something a bit retro like bombers tailgunners vs. fighters and things like that. Also, it would be great if jets had really dramatically different handling capabilities at different altitudes. Would add soo much deptht.

lol, today I saw these 2 guys in a gunship, and they totally owned the round. Luckily they were on my team. It takes a great pilot and gunner to do that now. BF 2142 Death from above is an oxymoron, really.

Gunships cant dominate a round at all. 1 person can dominate the opposing team's aircraft from halfway across the map with 1 SAAW. Since the shields don't protect 100%, alot of my missile hit them anyway. I almost feel sorry for them.

yeah..this topic has soo much do do with the f-35b.
Ill admit the J-10 is an overpowered air skank but I have played rounds in which i actually TEAMWORK in dogfights i joined the squad of a guy in an f-35b (why he started a squad to fly a jet ill never know) and when i got in mine he noticed i was in it and asked if i wanted to do coop flying and we did we pwn3d the skies, one of us would pick up a j-10 then the other would come in and pwn that j-10.
(this was on wake) NOONE does teamwork flying because i never even thought of it until that guy asked me, i try to get that kinda thing goin on but noone wants to. 2 f-35bs working together will dominate.
2 of any fighter working together will pwn but noone does that.
I was usually the one being chased considering how im good at dodging missles by doing all sorts of low altitude crap.
seriously if any of you guys are will to do teamwork flying then get xfire at www.xfire.com and add eddyeddyd.
(my name in bf2 is eddyeddyb cuz i 4got pass to eddyeddyd)

O and 4 some reason i seem to be alot betetr with bombing in the f-35b

Yeah just so you know.. if you ever have a good pilot (AKA he flies other jets mainly, and dogfight competitions) in the J-10, you will never shoot him down..

That jet is such BS.

People think F-18/J-10 is even.. HELL no it isn't. J-10 is so much better it's insane. Only thing F-18 can do is dodge missles decent. Other than that, it can't turn as sharp, and it's slow as hell.
