You shouldn't have to worry about firendly claymores being placed in the middle of a street, or right beside a flag. Also, there is little to no way to differentiate Claymores from C4 or AT Mines.

It is the SNipers job to make sure he places claymores in appropriate locations. Not the typical ground troops job.

By the way it isn't. It'd your job to stya alive, do you run into a tank? do you run into a squad of 6 when you have 1 bar of health left? no......why run into a clay when you know its going to kill you?

haha, i wasn't disagreeing with you, im just saying when you put a clay down to "defend your position" and one of you supposed team mates is blind and runs into your clay and punishes you...why?

I've punished only a handful of people in my BF2 career, if im stupid enough to run into a clay then i forgive, same with AT mines.

Punishing is there for TK's that are on purpose, when i lay a clay or AT mine i don't do it to kill team mates, i like to get 2 points....not lose 4 points!

But another couple of points

1. The often quoted remark that tk punish is for deliberate tk's only is debateable, I think if a person makes several careless accidental tk's in the same fashion that he leaves his self "wide open" for the punish

Nowhere that I know of in the EA/Dice websites have I read (I have looked) that tk punish is for deliberate tk's only, tk punish may be the only way to deal w/ a person that spams grenades, & doesn't care how many ppl he tk's as long as he gets his, or her points

2. As far as I know tk punish has no bearing on how many points you have deducted

-2 for team damage always
-4 for team kill always

Punish only serves to remove excessive team killers from the server for the duration of the round according to however many tk's is set by the admin (usually 3-5 I think)

If you don't tk excessively there is no reason to get "worked up" about a tk punish

I do agree that if I climb up on your roof, & trip your clay it is my fault, & I do forgive ppl for tk even when it is their fault the first 1, or 2 times (I do not have "auto punish" enabled on my PC)

I just believe that if you are 1 of those snipers (this is in general) that sets clays all over a friendly fire on for mines server, & thinks that everybody is wrong when they punish you, you may need to rethink your position, & we are more than willing to give you some extra "incentive"

I was.

And claymores are much arder to spot than a tank, or a squad. The red corssbones don't differentiate it from C4 or AT Mines.

If you place them relatively near you, that is understandable, so you can cover your ***. If you place them in areas of high traffic and leave, that it not a good idea.

Whatever anyone says Claymores are a big part of sniper play, i can understand when people get annoyed but snipers get annoyed with tank whores, C4 spamming etc, part of the game

were you on Ghost town? I was on the Spetnazs team and it was either you or someone with a very similiar name on the SAS. I was Sniper and killed you when you were in the chopper with the M95 then clay.

I was playing Ghost Town, but I never got sniped out of a chopper (I don't think I've even gotten in one for quite some time, actually), and I don't remember your name or anything similar.

Unless you are talking about a few days ago where we were messing around waiting for people to show up and I eventually left.

I did get sniped out of the Blackhawk that time as I tried ot ram you.

I only hate snipers coz of claymores, sneak up on them, say "enemy boat spotted" to make them turn arround and knife\paddle them
