same here im a sniper most of the time,and i do a dam good job of helping my squad.

It does help to have a sniper in our squad.
We were trying to cap the square flag with two snipers on the roof, I told my mate to go snipe, he spawned, aimed, shot, aim, shot. Heh wickd.

Hmm I usually play the non-city maps and place them in areas I cannot watch at first glance from my position. When one goes of they work as an early warning system. If I get a kill there is Infantry near that position, if it goes of without a kill there is armor.
In any case it helps me in defending a CP or bottleneck on the map where I placed the Clay's. Nothing wrong with that.

I don't mind snipers at all. The only thing that really irks me is when someone becomes a squad leader and is a sniper camping on the edge of the map. Squad leaders should be the ones leading the assault, not on the edge of a cliff.

Snipers make the best squad leaders.......they are stealth, and concealed with clear and safe view of enemy control points.....closer than any spawn point, and offering cover...

i agree that alot of ppl are being sniper llately and tend to be really unexperienced to the point they suck and spam clays and nades...and they do need to learn how to improve through practice......but most are practicing spam and noobism so the answer isnt so simple...

Well...I usually crack up to the top three of the team, or even the top of the whole server with sniper kit alone in Karkand-64 fulled server...
I always see people fighting at the roof. Unfortunately, I kill them all without being shot.
Really don't think a roof is a good place for snipers. It is too obvious and easily be found by an experienced sniper (who used to look at the possible sniper hiding spot first).

For some times, after using sniper kit as a squad leader a few rounds...many many snipers join my squad....but you know, sniper squad do not function at all. And extra snipers in the squad will compromise stealth. I think 1 to 2 sniper in a 6-man squad will be fine.

decent sniper wouldn't even use rooftops. just because you skyline when you peek ever the edge. If you're on a roof, the rule is simple: If you see them, they see you. And long distance shots are hard from rooftops, since allmost every rooftop you can get into are either immediate distance from the action, or somewhere where's no action atall.

Nearly every server I join is infested with Snipers.

Here's a tip.

If you are dying more than you are killing, you are not doing your job. Switch to another kit.

It's almost impossible to play with all the Snipers runing around, thinking they're hot ****.

Anyone else notice this?

We im a 24/7 sniper, but im not the sort that runs round with claymores putting them where ever i can (Near a spwan for example), i will only use them if say, I run round a corner and there 1-2 people there with AK-101's and im standing there with my pistol... i think ima turn round a run and put a clamore on the corner in the hope they follow me, and one on the next corner for the second dude.

There's nothing wrong with all the sniper's, its a great kit and if you have the right rifle and you now how to handle it you will whipe out the opposing team :)

Eh, I remember going for my expert sniper, it wasnt easy.

Though some rounds I would stay just a few feet behind the battle. Use my pistol in close range, and have claymores watching my back.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who finds this ****ty, but claymores are WAY too sensitive. 90% of the time I see a claymore, there's no use in running away because it'll blow up regardless.
