I keep most of mine on high or medium. I have anything shadow/light related on low because there is an advantage to be had by keeping those there. I wouldn't call it a hack though.

ok all low wont give u all the advantages....

geometry increases the LOD which makes it easier to see objects at further distances.

dynamic lighting shows u whos firing at u by making them glow everytime they fire...ur walking in the forrest and theres a sniper somewhere off in the distance and he fires...u can easily spot him by the sniper's surroundings lighting up from his muzzle flash

dynamic shadows- there have been cases where a heli was behind me, but if it werent for dynamic shadows, i prob wouldnt have seen him..that can help too

Get a **** graphics card like me and play bf2 on low and tell me every thing runs fine.
