I've got an idea, how about, if you don't like the server rules...leave! Or don't join them at all. God, half the people on here spend more time pissin and moaning about statpadders and servers tat violate BFROE, imagine how much better this forum would be if EVERYONE stopped! IF you don't like pistol and knife servers, don't play, if you don't like an aspect of this game, AVOID them! It's soo much easier than reporting them, and thinking your e-penis just got bigger. It doesnt....

Well, the problem with that is . If someone WANTS to be arse, you can be reset by being there!!! Has there been (NO)! Just leave them alone, let them have thier fun the way they want to...
Noone can stop the pistols and knifes, they have fun. If someone wants to be an arse you can be reset by being on a P&K server as well.

Goes like this! If you THINK its wrong it probley is. Just leave. thats the bottomline (LEAVE). No need to report them UNLESS you are an ARSE.

I seem to be seeing a lot more high points servers and knife pistol servers recently. As chodda says. They won't shut it down when there is dollar to be made.

If you would look at the picture you would see ranks. And if the ranks are shown it means it's ranked :)

I hope that Admin get's something up his sleeve not a reset or something but a warning to change rules. That really is ridicilous.

I think I know what server this was. Just let servers like that exist. They dont harm anybody, they sure dont promote statspadding or any other kind of abusing the ranked system. Its just people that like to play the sniper kit without having to deal with CQB stuff. The time they spend in that server sure as hell wont give them an higher SPM, but instead it will drop.

If BFROE or anybody else keeps beating down on servers like this you will terminate the number of players that much quicker. Its allready going down as of late. If a group of people like to play it the way they were playing the game on that server they should be allowed to do so.

In my opinion, there are at least 350 servers running at any given time, if you don't like the rules, don't play on that server.

I could care less about rank and points. I have all the unlocks I will ever use. My 2 problems with unranked are 1) why should the players who do care about points be punished for playing in the ONLY server that is sniper friendly? And 2) Most ppl filter out non-ranked servers, thus severely limiting the number of ppl we can attract. It would be different if a sniper could play on a regular server and not be kicked because they don't want snipers or have supply crates/vehicles dropped on them. I was about to quit BF2 altogether and leave it to the smacktards when I found the sniper server. EA should thank them, not punish. If it weren't for that server HUNDREDS of players would be gone.

You will NEVER FAIRLY govern a group of ppl as large as the BF community with narrowly written and erraticly enforced rules such as the ROE as in now stands. The world is NOT all black and white. What of the servers that exist in the grey areas such as the sniper server? The writers of the US constitution understood this concept and created amendments. It looks as though EA and sites such as this one are lacking that vision.

It was USERS who created the most popular BF 1942 mod, Desert Combat. It was because of that Mod that many ppl bought BF2 in the first place. It's a goo dthing EA didn't ban modding. EA should embrace user changes. It only serves to make the game more valuable and would let sites like this one focus on the real cheaters.

The problem is that this is a ranked server that kicked someone for trying to take a flag. It's a CONQUEST game design, that is what you are supposed to do! A ranked server is bound by the rules of the ROE, and this server does not follow those rules. Sorry, but it is a form of stat-padding (K-D ratio, heal points, Sniper badges, etc.).

seriously, who cares about stats, if you or anyone else is THAT concerned about stats then you need to quit playing the game
I mean think about it, what does padding stats get you???? .......NOTHING
there is only ONE real reason to have a higher global score and that is so you can be commander over people with lower scores....and to me THAT is nothing

varying the rules of a server that YOU pay for should not even bother EA, hell its another server running isnt it?? it brings in revenue doesnt it?? so who cares??

@Shepherd007, How is not crossing a certain area in the map the same as statpadding in some remote location with two of your buddies by running a continious(?) cycle of killing and reviving?
