Your sniping record?

Hi all,

I made my sniping record last night. Current figure is 513m

It was so beautifull shot that I must share it with you fellows. I was laying in the gantry on the South Docks, sniping MEC players hiding on the Reactor Towers. After while I notice someone MG:ing our helo far away somewhere near North Docs. When zooming, I saw a jeep on the bank between Warehouse and North Dock. I couldn't see the gunner only the jeep was rendered. I took one shot with large elevation a bit side of the estimated line of the gunner, just to find a correct elevation. First shot hit the car so I had a pretty good hint where to shoot. With the second shot I took the gunner in the line. Click...you killed xxxx.

God Damn, I was so pleased that I forgot to save the name of that fellow. Then I created a squad and placed Defend here mark to the place where that car was located. 513m says my screen :laugh::laugh::laugh:

86 Kills, and 12 deaths as a sniper.

51 or so of those kills came from the L9A61.
20 or so of those kills acme from the M24.
4 of those kills came from the MR-444.
11 of those kills came from Claymores.

I was pretty darn happy with that round.

Unfortunately it was on an Infantry Only server; so it's not 'that' big of an accomplishment. =(

I rarely go for 'extremely' long ranged shots. I have more luck closing in on the enemy; suckering them to go prone so they can shoot me, and plucking them before they get their first shot off. God that angers people so much... It's also very gratifying.

My guess is, my longest ranged headshot is around 350m on Sharqui. Nothing spectacular, but... oh well.

my fav HS is a hovering chopepr on wake, dont know the distance, bout the length of the airfield strip, M95 to the side of his melon :)

M95 from dock to carrier on Dalian, take out dem chopper pilots and jet pilots before they know its coming ^_^

86 kills IAR with any kit is pretty impressive score. My best as a sniper (with sniper tools off course) must be near 50-60. One round I still remember. It was Jalalabad (IO) about month ago. I ended 44-1...I was also pretty pleased :laugh:

Well I don't count the range of the shot I took but the fact that I got the kill otherwise I usally don't remember the scores that I got that round unless it was a really good round then I might remember otherwise I just play with friends in it.

My favourite shot, not nesecerally my best, is shooting a heli pilot trying to cap and flag. Then heli then crashed and i gunner got out just before and i put a bullet in his head :P

I took out a Jeep Driver with my L96a1 from so far it was almost invisible like in fog but it was mid day? donno it was pretty far

Dairuka where do you play usually? I see you live in Canada, so there are not too many servers where we could play both and have at least a decent gameplay but there may be some. I recon you have been playing sniper quite a lot latelly and I got the picture that ur good. It could be nice to try co-operative sniping with you. Two good snipers will wipe floor with any averege or less squad encountered. Have you tried those Norwegian servers? TV2, Battlefield2.no or Battlefield.no? Also some English servers may work for me? Wanny try some night?

Interesting...as from memory, you cant see the carrier from land

Thats pretty much impossible seeing as the fog on this map starts at 150 meters. Max view on this map could be 200 meters, maybe, if you shoot on soldiers outlined on the TV tower helipad. Allthough my furthest shot on this particular map was 178 meters as mentioned in the above situation.

My P.B. is still the 453 meters headshot on Dragon Valley in a direct duel with another sniper. He was on one mountain side I was on the other. He hit me first but I got the killshot of before he could hit me again.

I just also finished a nice killing spree on the sniper rifle going 95 : 1 on the bolt-actions.

Actually you can and with a nice monitor and resolution + 100% view distance you can see people on the deck.

I play on the Insomnia 365 servers. The =TAW= Servers, the ERR servers, the
[VSSq] servers, the Antietam servers. Pretty much any server with a good ping that tickles my fancy.

Norweigen servers unfortunately do not appeal to me, because of high pings ranging in the 500 area. Anything over 150 ping is unplayable for me, which is why I'm virtually grounded in North America for servers to game on.

It's a good thing I guessed. I've never actually used my squad leader privaledges to measure distance; since I usually have orders for my squad on the go.

It was from the Surveillance Site to the TV Tower.

Another great shot of mine was from the Chinese City beside the Uncappable, to the top of one of the Oil Cisterns on Daqing Oilfield.

Today I got 19 kills, sniping, but not with a sniper. Lol, the second medic unlocked gun, forget the name.

The most I've ever gotten with a sniper is 20 I think, Jalalabad, went mec, hid on this building near the big building in the middle. The trick is you have to go all the way around in the back, climb up a later, and then jump a building over. I was sniping there (waited about 10 minutes for the Americans to reach the city) then started owning, ran out of ammo and grabbed the MG, thanks who ever put it there, and got about six more before the whole team found out where I was and lit me up with about 5,000 rounds. :laugh:

I've only had my new computer for a short while so my account is only like two weeks old so havn't had many good times yet, more to come. I created a new account with my new computer to get rid of my old crappy scores, Including four unlocked guns, but oh well, I like to start fresh. :)

any shot taken where you can't really see your target is nice to get. I dunno what some of your computers can do for vision but I think I see fog at 150-200m. I don't measure distance or haven't yet. I play on Ghost Town mostly and when I can pluck opponents on pretty much the opposite side of the map, I think I'm doing pretty good.
