There is something magic about being sniper. It's the only kit being talked about over and over again in these forums.

I like to play sniper. Actually I'm pretty good with it, belonging to top 400 sniper rifle user of BF2. The best thing in being a sniper is to take a headshot on a running man over 200m away. Always feels like Godmode

Wow, the people who say that snipers are no threat have never played with this clan called W00kie or something like that.

Some of the best ****ing snipers I have seen, hands down. Play on their wake server.....you pop your head up, and its off.....

Especially this one guy named dont_be_ss, the guy is a freakin machine with the sniper rifle. He could go 30 and 0 easy...

people think snipers suck, generally they do, but thats just the player...

they get a ****ing shock when they meet a clever one!

so many times ive had people come after me, thinking easy kill... well its actually easier for me to headshot them the closer they get to me :laugh:
its easy to wipe out a squad too, unless theyre all medics and u have to drop your clays and run away


the sniper rifle in any game attracts me, the way you can kill from a distance or run in and attack and kill everyone by playing smartly.

Snipers have hay and sh*t glued to their faces! Makes them look like Bigfoot or something.

Claymore spammers bug me...come to think of it...I've yet to even use a claymore myself.

What claymore spamming? Snipers can only drop 2 at a time. If you keep dropping them, the the first 2 disappears!

My favorite thing to do is to knife non-snipers. Now that's FUN!!!

because sometimes the front lines can get boring and its fun to kill people when they dont know where you are.

Yeah dont_be_ss (#13 Sniper in the World) pretty much ownz in all disciplines. I think he holds the long distance record in bf2 also with a headshot over a distance of 511 meters. And he is also a very nice person.

One of my own favorites is ChikyuuShoujoArujuna (#4 Sniper in the world) btw. He is a killing machine and inspiration in City maps.
The other one is Books_DCDF (#14 Sniper in the world) because he pretty much plays the Kit the same way I do. He is efficient and allways aware on what the situation needs during a round.

I personally play only the big (full 64 person) servers and usually on either Gulf of Oman or Dragon Valley. My role is the forward spawn (SL), keeping track of enemy troop movement, killing enemies in AA and AT emplacements and changing the direction and pace of the game when I can by capping rear area flags. And offcourse killing as many of the enemy troops as I can :)

wtf?!?! 511m ?? ive got kills further than that and that was when you had SERIOUS bullet drop before they tweaked all sniper rifles!!

No offence to anyone, but I am gonna be honest.

Snipers are mostly girls.

That is an attitude held over from my DC days, and almost every single DC player would agree with me. You take up a slot that a real player could use. People will argue that they really can help a team, but I have never seen a great Clan battle where we would waist a slot with a sniper kit, except for long range recon and defense, but still not really.

People like to hide, and get a kill without the need to get into a bloody battle, and it seems like a weak way out. get in the battle, attack the flags, but hiding and waiting for a kill helps no one but yourself IMO.

Man, we used to crucify the sniper girls in DC,lol. The knife in a sniper butt was a glorious thing, and we relished it. :nod:

You're forgetting about the more experienced Sniper players... I've always been a tad different than the rest, that's why I fell in love with the Engineer class from the beginning. I suppose it's the same with Sniper players.

If I'm squad leader I kick snipers off the team. They don't help cap flags nor protect them. I like a squad that's mobile and lethal.

cant be much more, since the furthest you can see players on the most open maps is ~550m, which is the furthest i have done.
