    Re: ROE? I think not...

This is the never ending saga.

The ROE is NOT very strict ...and it does NOT restrict fair play.

Basically there are two groups of people divided about the ROE.

1.) People who want fairplay, and the removal of cheaters/padders.
    2.) Cheaters/Padders.

How could you possibly have a problem with the current ROE unless you just wanted to pad stats or cheat??

I love how you so called "caring" people come here in defence of practically non-existent people who have unfairly, and unjustly had there stats reset.

I agree with you on this to a point, i think there is a third group to add,
3.) people that know of the bf2roe and are to lazy to read it.
these are the people that usually go off and do whatever they want in-game.when the crap hits the fan, (stats reset,or banned from sever) they feel like they where taken advantage of and come here to blast ea/dice over what they did, or didnt do.
just remember this short qoute to get out of it.
"wtf! i didnt know that and it is your fault for not letting me knoW."

If I were to be told by one of the BFROE directors that my ideas will be considered by the "higher consul" of BFROE and at least looked at, I would join and voice what I think.

Yes I do think statspadding is lame. But the method in which it's dealt with is primitive. We aren't in the BCE time now, we're in 2006 CE. Hamurrabi's Code doesn't work, most developed countries have a sensible justice system. If I kill a man I don't necessarily get killed but just sent to jail for a long amount of time. If a person statspads for Expert Repair or for his Expert Pistol Badge, only the awards and points gained from said statspadding should be erased. People caught hacking or glitching should be reset fully. But if I were to pad 1000 points, just reset those 1000 points.

That is probably the main reason why people don't like BFROE. They say you guys are a bunch of elitist guys who feel special being able to request a reset, but that's probably because you use principles dropped many many years ago. If the handling of resets was as I said, just resetting the points and awards gained, then people would probably be fine with it. I do believe that not allowing things like knife and pistol is silly, but I accept that it will probably remain that way for the life of the game. So all I and probalby much of the community want is to change how things are handled.
I agree with some of your points, but here lies the problem,

once we investigate and gather the evidence that EA wants, we submit it to them thru our reporting system.

After that it is out of our hands, because it goes directly to EACS who make the final call and take any actions.

so your disagreement in the way resets or delistings are handled lies with EACS and not BFROE..

You say this over and over again, and I don't think anyone ever gets it.

          BFROE = Reports
          EACS = Resets

I don't see why this is so hard to understand for some.

This is directed to the head honchos of BFROE: If you guys have close contacts with EA, why not suggest the idea of a less strict method of reset to them? You guys say you do the 'research' of the stats... so simply find the stats and awards obtained dishonestly, forward said info to EACS, and they press the magic button.

It's been said before, so I'll say it again.

                'Code it, don't "ROE" it'

Noone would need stats deletion if the system for stats was sturdier.

There will never be a system, game, taxes...etc that people won't cheat at. Period.

The ROE is not perfect, but it is a good system, more people (who really care about BF2) need to join, and support it with their input, instead of flaming, and griping, and throwing tantrums.

I didn't come here "flaming", all my posts were valid.

                    Acting like a *******? a s s h o l e ?

Well wtf you expect from me, I am an A-hole. Get used to it.

How I joined is of no importance. What is however is that I have read some things and come to a differnet level of not only understanding, but apprecaition for what the ROE does.

As I stated in the OP; i feel the need for it exists to a degree and that I wanted to find a reasonable medium for both parties.

What? And what? It's apparent your understanding of the context in which term "medium" is correctly used is distorted. Instead of protesting your own mistakes and starting asinine threads. Repeat my first instructions: prozac, osama, al-qadea

                        Ha.

The post was anything but asinine, as you can clearly tell by the number of people commenting.

There isn't much more for me to say at this time, so if you have anything else to say on this matter, do so now and I'll make sure I have fire extinguisher out.

                        Later.

I have another question for the ROE team. Do you guys have the power to de-list servers personally or do you contact EA and they de-list them?

                              It's been said 100,000 times.

BFROE does not reset stats or de-list servers, only report.
