1 v 1 choppers(hell fire only)

I never knew this was so fun, had a couple of matches against some guy last night, its way more fun then TVing

anyone else done this?

why 1v1 and not 2v2?

because we dont want the machine gun to be used and we dont want the gunner to spot the enemy chopper, its all on the pilot

I agree. Lately, I've been more daring: I let the enemy shoot a TV and avoid it or get out of range, then I charge in and force a close-quarters battle with dumb missiles. It's a lot easier when you outmaneuver the other pilot because you end up seeing their broad side more often than not...

Way more fun than taking TV shots you hardly miss. :)

Yeah, I've done 1v1s before, it's fun when you begin to pull the stunts n all. Gotta love Kubra Dam especially for this- because of all the tight spaces you can attempt to fly your helo through.

Mastery of the rockets is a must here- I can almost always get the trajectory of them right; some of my shots at the enemy helo are near-misses, but a lot of them are hits . Other than that- it's so much fun doing a pursuit.

Imagine Kubra-Dam, taking your helo through the tunnel right at the bottom of the dam- well ahead of the other chopper; you turn around at the end- and wait for him to come through the bottle-neck; thats when you strafe in and launch all your rockets at him!

I love doing barrel-rolls in my helo too... and also the diving maneuvers to get past the enemy helo.

lol I dont do stunts in situations like this but the guy who I played against last night is very good pilot and he knows how to use hellfire, he couldnt get away tho, if they go below you and try to get away you just have to point ur nose down and start spinning, I can show the video of how this is done if you want:p

No no, I know how to do that :P, I'd challenge you... any day... TO A DUEL! of 1v1 helo battle!

Meh, I prefer the battles where you use the environment to your advantage... once again, Kubra is a dream, and Dalian isn't too bad either.

Do you suffer from a terrible delay between firing your TV missile and seeing it actually launch towards the target?

Does anyone know how to counter this?

A guy in my clan suffers from that same flaw...
It's at least a full second delay even when he is just gunning and allready in the tv screen...
He has a faster computer then me, so that cannot be it, but for him it's nearly impossible to hit anything with tv...

He is a killer as infantry, so I doubt it has anything to do with his internet connection either...

I get that from time to time and I also get a bug where my TV missile goes out so fast and it sounds different, I click and the missile is already half way between me and the target

Hmm... yeah- as for your friend in your clan; to accomodate him, line him up for TV missile shots- except with a greater distance between you and the target... also try to line him up a little ahead of the target's movement, to intercept.

After a drunk night full of laughs about even the most lined up misses, he gave up...
It was a very fun night though :)

I suffer no lag (delay) whatsoever, just have trouble lining up the TV
Maybe i just aint had the pleasure of flying with a good pilot.
When i am flying my gunner always gets hits no probs
Im a decent pilot and know how to line up for the gunner, but when im gunning, well.... maybe im just crap :laugh:

on a bad note, when you are close range and use dumb missiles, usually the explosion of the other heli damages/destroys you too.

on a good note, if your losing the 1 vs. 2 you can ram easily.

Welll... I guess... shooting ahead of the target? on your next click after you launch the TV missile, try to anticipate the enemy unit's movement.

I've had many occaisions where I manage to JUST nip the rear (even actually JUST miss by a tiny bit) of an enemy helo-transport, chopper, and even fighter jet- and I manage to destroy them each time... what's up with that?
