trust me hell fire match or w\e u wanna call it is way more fun then a TV match, I wish they had this on TWL or CAL then Id really compete, im participating in 2v2 matches on TWL but we only had one so far and I didnt make it lol, TVing is getting boring especially because more and more people use macros and cheats now that EA isnt doing **** about BF2 anymore

I would not mind a gunner only beeing able to redirect 3 times, or that you could only redirect once every second, if it's made serverside in a patch...
Both ideas would make things more exciting...

I'm all for 1v1 hydra matches: the emphasis would be placed on flying skill, shooting skill and predictive ability. As it stands, the pilots in 2v2 matches basically play range and height games or take chances by trying unusual routes... none of which are really exciting and rewarding: I should know, I play with SOE in the TWL ladder and most of the time, I'm stuck flying. :S

1v1 chopper is fun. i never seat switch, i think its lame i only use the normal pilot rockets all the time. it is fun

Otherwise I don't know what people play on that ladder for you to be able to even get close enough in a true 1 vs 1 match...
Or offcourse you must like beeing at your spawn a lot...

yea I practiced with razze and hawaiian( =]-[f= clan) when they were in TWL and it was all about hiding and sneaking

yea sure. i think its lame because seat switchers cant fly and fight well. they just go up really high and seat switch all day. they have no skill at all IMO. i just hate them and dont think as them being good chopper pilots. all the top chopper pilots never seat switch or dont have to to get kills.

Nice generalizations there, buddy: have you watched my videos? There are plenty of other talented soloers who don't hover at 200 yards: in fact, only bad soloers do that. The good ones move around and destroy things left and right. I don't think you're qualified to talk about this...

I suggest you watch our stuff and actually spectate our soloing before spouting off more nonsense. Additionally, I can guarantee you most of your "top pilots" (who are they, by the way? enlighten me...) wouldn't stand a chance against real soloers because they aren't utilizing their vehicle to its full potential.

It's so honorable to swoop in and use hydras, right? Good luck: if your top pilots actually make it through our TVs, odds are we'll still take them down by outmaneuvering them and unloading on their broad side.

Anyway, that's my rant for the night.

Actually, just minutes ago (it's ... wow it's late here)
I had the most embarrasing round ever where I missed four! tv missiles in a row which I thought should have registred... I did take them down with rockets eventually, but... ... still...
I just rubbed it off as a bad night and pressed alt-F4...
Time to go to bed after S03E02 of battlestar galactica...

I've tried all of those and still no DICE. On my home cable, a T1 line, DSL; I never play on server where I ping higher than 80. It happens to me regardless of which computer I use. My main rig is a pretty decent computer, anyway. I run at 1280x1024 w/2-4x AA, some high settings, all settings having to do with lighting/shadows on medium. My ping to my clan's server is usually 50, I get 75-90 FPS when I turn Vsync off.
Still having the occasional hellfire lag.

How many processes do you have running in the background? Torrents? Sharing programs? XP Home or Pro?

chopper duels are crap. its all about who see's who first and who gets in range first.

Thats why some people suck at duels! no creativity!!! hell! I blow so many people out of the water with some of the maneuvers I come up with, and how I fly my chopper. Yes of course- I do collide into things a fair bit (since the 180 degree of vision is not there in a computer monitor)... but I like to fly for fun, not for points.
