i don't own a psp, nor have i ever seen one.
but they sell movies on PSP.
i don't think it would have a bad time with a bf series game. Hell it handles ace combat (a famous ps2 title) very well. Screenshots here
It won't be the best - but I bet they could get at least bf1942 graphics and gamestyle on a psp.
I dont think we will see the new game released in the spring or fall of 07. With the jump to BF2 from BFV it was a year and a half even thought it was talked about right away. So my guess is 2142 will hit the shelves and we will get the news of BF3 within a couple days or weeks with the game shipping in Spring of 08.
Also anyone notice that BFV was not called BF2 because it was like a mod? Then BF2 which came out with a whole new engine was called BF2. But 2142 is not BF3 because like BFV its just a mod and not a huge step. So its conceivable that BF3 will be the same type of leap we saw from 1942 to BF2.

ok I just did a little researching and grand theft auto is also on the psp and it supports the open ended style of gameplay like the BF series(Ie. open maps, running and driving around in vehicles) so I guess I could be wrong and they just might be able to pull off a reasonable PSP version
BTW I love Ace Combat and didnt know it was on the psp, definently going to have to check it out!

bf3 = fresh meat for the total nerf mob community. I can't wait to see what gets the shaft in 2142's first patch. If the nerf mob doesn't affect it I'll probably buy it.
With the demo being a flop due to the connection issues and other bugs carried over from BF2 (red tag bug anyone want to bet?), my guess is they will be VERY fast to announce the next BF game within a week of release. Hell if the demo goes over that bad and people start to cancel pre-orders, then they might announce sooner. :P
Ok with previous games such as BFV and BF2, it takes the Dice team almost no time after the release of a game to announce the next one. With 2142 going to be a total flop like BFV, how long do you guys think it will be until BF3 is announced and what will BF3 be?
My guess is within 2 weeks of release we will get some sort of "leaked" SS or trailer and BF3 will be back to WW2.
I agree with some of the posters in this thread that they won't debut a new engine game until they get some experience with dx10.
As usual, it seems that crytek is ahead of the game and will be the first company coming out with a next gen pc engine for their game. CRYSIS!! That game will certainly set the standard for a dx10 game.
My bet though is that dice won't announce such a game at least until very late into 2007.
It's anybody's guess on what the theme for BF3 will be. Another modern combat theme would seem redundant, but it might be far enough after BF1942 to make a WWII theme cool in a retro/nostalgic sort of way. I wouldn't rule out Cold War theme (what I imagine BK means) too quick though.
i would doubt cold war considering there were no battles.... unless you count the bay of pigs.

what i would like to see is early 90's first gulf war era, with apaches and stuff.
