They've already announced it on the DICE shareholders AGM future projects agenda.

As long as we don't get Battlefield: Bad Company, I can wait years for the next sequel after BF2142, which I won't buy.

A Battlefield game that takes place during the 1980 - 1990 would be nice, familiar weapons and vehicles we all know today along with other weapons and vehicles that has long retired from service.

I heard from a reliable source who I cant say has played with the BF3 engine. Reason why they didnt use it for BF2 was system are not powerful enough yet. It will be another modern day based combat like BF2. He said people will leave tracks on the ground, terrain will be destructable as well as buildings. All I can say if he isnt pulling my leg its going to be a big seller everyone can relate to modern day as for 2142 being the future it will prob favour more teeny boppers. lol

bf3 wont be announced until the holidays and it wont come out until something like the spring of ’07 or... maybe fall of ‘07.

To be honest, I'm pretty fed up with world war rubbish, i like something new. Like BF2142 which is a good idea so i hope they stick to that:)

Once 2142 flops, and after Dice/EA lick their collective wounds, then BF3 will be announced. It all depends on 2142.

they are the same engine noob , just as there are new features doest mean its not the same thing , titan mode , its the same engine but it does mean its in bf2

BFV had better animation, which makes it a different engine noob.
