He wasn't bragging...he was called a hacker and a cheater so he made a video showing that no hacks were used and that he is very decent in a jet, people like you assume he is "fluffing" his stats and take a wrong interpretation of his video.

To spot with the joystick, you need to DL Joy2Key. That way you can map the POV trigger to the radial commands, and the trigger to mouse 1 but ONLY when the radial menu is up.

Wouldn't that be against RoE though? Using a 3rd party program?

I have this program, I used it a few times, it's great for spotting with joystic.

I was expecting the typical showcase/music type of movie, I'm glad this was just a raw gameplay video.

Very impressive stuff, granted some will complain it was just spawn rape, but from a tactical point of view, you were serving the map up to your team on a silver platter.

I will say this, your time in the air is evident, and your skill with the guns is exceptional. I don’t believe I’ve seen such a steady shot in a while. you were definitely on the ball that round. I like your approach pattern on the j-10’s high and to the rear and the great thing is you didn’t get greedy either you damaged him/them went high and came back down when they were trying to repair and to top it all off you kept them suppressed for quite some time. I do believe it would have been a different story if wake have a mobile AA unit. I consider myself an alright pilot but this is what separates me from you, its all in your timing and your accuracy. And to you all saying that was base raping who the hell cares anyway it wasn’t an uncap anyhow. Also if there dumb enough to wait on the tarmac he keeps bombing well then there a little Dee-De-Dee and deserve to be bombed.

These people need to stop busting your balls. If they don't like the video, don't watch it. If they don't like your tactics then don't use them. Because your tactics, keeping air superiorty, is the best way for the US to win wake....

Next time do one on a map with more even air to air so your not spending 75% of the time making sure no J-10s dont get airborne. Then you can focus on ground targets while dogfighting only when needed.

wake with an f35 is really hard. this vid is awsome, cuz few know how to do what he does in the vid. the f35 on wake should only attack ground targets on very rare occasions, for the sake of the team, it should worry about j10 and mi28 more than anything else. this vid puts planewhores vid to shame, cuz it was crap in the first place.

Yes I know but its also extremely boring and predictable if your a good pilot. If you keep the J10 on the ground you win. Period. As challenging as that is its also really boring to watch.

I would rather he do a jet video on a map that actually has even balance as far as jets go so he can show people how to use a jet effectively in normal situations with ground AA tanks and all. So he can hit ground targets and pick up on aircraft when he needs to instead of having to constantly rape the runway to keep the almighty J10 grounded.

Im not saying its a bad video im just saying its extremely obvious that the objective of every F35 pilot on Wake should be to rape that runway all map long. Why waste 10 minutes of video on that? This may have helped new pilots I guess but theres really nothing new here, just some wicked F35 skills.

Next video do some all around Jet usage and you'll get a big thumbs up from me and im sure it will help a lot of people.

I haven't seen the video but FFS people don't flame Metallica for camping the J-10 spawn.

For those who aren't aware the J-10 is virtually unstoppable once it gets in the air with a decent pilot while the F-35B is nothing more than a A2A missile sponge. Therefore on a map like Wake 2007 where the J-10 funtionality/pilots decide who win the round it's in a teams best interest (and in an F-35B pilots best interest) to keep the enemy J-10s grounded the entire game. As far as I'm concerned on USMC you are at maximum usefulness if you spend the whole round doing nothing but camping the J-10 pilots.

On a related note I'm going to be putting up a J-10 video (I haven't been able to get around to it) of me going 100+ kills and 0 deaths in a little over 10 minutes. Which is exactly why you want to fly exactly like Metallica on USMC Wake 2007.

I agree, it's not fair to flame the pilot for doing his job against the odds. It's a skilful video showing what the US pretty much has to do on Wake just to keep an even footing. Nevertheless, it's still a baserape fest of the highest order and I still wonder how this is considered "good fun" gaming, even for the pilot...

Anyway, I think the biggest message this video gives, is just what a sorry state the whole jet to jet (F35 vs J-10) and jet to ground aspect of BF2 is in when tactics like these are required simply to compete... It's kind of a shame that this thread was moved to the media forum since I kind of hope it gets as much publicity as possible in the hope that some DICE employee stumbles upon it.

Not only does it show the sham that is Wake Island in its full glory, but it also clearly demonstrates that S2A sites are completely ineffective in their current form. Anyone (e.g. zippOr) who argues to the contrary need only watch this video. And before anyone chimes in with the "he's (metallica) one so the best pilots out there" chat, consider what still happens to the best tankers and the best infantry players too.

Other than that, well done metallica for nailing the J-10s good and proper and showing what being an excellent pilot really is all about in BF2. :)

Good video Metallic don't listen to this other fella's who say it's dumb etc. cause it rocks. I love flying and this is just great Love the little trick where you come closely behind a J-10's *** and start releasing the missiles.. Makes me feel good when I kill one of those guys in such a plane.
