You clearly are a great pilot. I really enjoyed the comments you put into the vid, especially the one that tried to force a tk as you took off (Nice try buddy). lol and you kept looking at the score.

No doubting the skill of the pilot, and why you're doing it (J-10, etc, etc), but that's just a glorified baserape ad nauseum. You going to try to tell me you get a lot of fun and sense of achievement doing that round after round? As far as I can see it's almost robotic in process and there's little variation and little excitement ...

Surely the whole point of a team-based battlefield fps is lost when all it boils down to is something like we're seeing in this ably demonstrated video? And before you flame me, consider the fact that this isn't in any way a personal slight on the pilot, but instead a rather sad reflection of the state of BF2 on a map like Wake...

Even IO mode is more interesting than this and that's not saying much.

I personally get REALLY REALLY bored raping over and over. The constant adaptation in a dogfight, even when met with impossible odds (F35 to J10), is extremely fun. I would rather go 36 and 0 and keep the J10s up the whole time, so I can dogfight with them.

Yeah sorry there was really... no air-to-ground.. I mean, I was only able to bomb 1 tank (the one time I had bombs) and I think I only saw 3 the WHOLE round...


There weren't many cars... only.. really AA and idiots waiting for jets and choppers.

Oman is much better for an Air to Ground video (but PlaneWhore pretty much has everyone beat on an Oman video), while Wake is good for Air to Air. If you do a Wake video, there has to be a LOT of Air to Air. Which was in yours.

if you didn't already know, if you get out of cockpit view, and go full screen or whatever, it zooms in.

I don't really know.. when I am gunning people on the ground or if I know I will be flying low, I keep cockpit view on cause I can judge where the bottom of the jet is easier.

That, plus it's habit.

SWEET!! Thats a good vid!
I only just recently got a joystick & actually learnt how to fly.
Can fly, but not FLY. So have picked up a few pointers from watching that.

Good tactic, and one that I will try to employ when I fly, though I rarely find much need for 'hunting' an enemy plane.

Thanks for the info. Again, very enjoyable vid.

Personally, I don't enjoy air to air combat. I primarilly enjoy helping the team try to cap flags and defend flags as best as I can (not to say that you don't). However, if there is an opposing pilot who is creating havoc, I'll try to take him/her down.

I try to keep all airpower down, because I figure, if there are no J-10's, and Z-10's, our team should be smart enough (most of the time, they aren't and just wait for the jet.. that I am in.) to take the BH's and just fly to land.

The only thing I wasn't taking out that round, was tanks, only because, honestly I only saw a couple..

So other than that.. all they have to worry about is AA... but they are in a BH... they can withstand probably 4 hits, + they have flares..


So the way I see it, I was helping the team alot by keeping airpower down, plus when I get kills, it takes away the other teams tickets, and by me not dying, we don't lose as many tickets, PLUS I raise the average of our teams score, giving the commander a higher avg.

As for the ATA combat, i only saw one really good opportunity by the Chinese, and they finished every manuever with straight and level flight. What did they think was going to happen?

Good flying and overall technique though. You use speed altitude very well, and maximize every aspect of the planes capabilities. I can see where the scores come from.

There is no doubt that air superiority is the key to victory in any air power map.

Own the skies, and tie up enemy resources trying to deal with your air assault, and a group of trained monkeys could cap the flags.

You're doing almost exactly what I do, or vise versa - I use the same tactics.

Keeping the J10 at the bottom of the screen is what I've been doing for a long time. Great tactic.

However, I am dissapointed with the video :) - I was expecting more A2A. I wanted to see you kill the J10s in the air more, I wanted to see you get away from J10s in the air more.

Keeping J10's on the ground is good too :P but I get kicked/banned because admins say it's not fair - well it's not fair that EA never fix J10 so.......... Gotto keep them down innit :laugh:

EDIT: By the way, how did you spot the enemy (while looking behind or even ahead) do you use the keyboard + mouse for that or some 3rd party software like JoyKey (or whatever it's called)

EDIT 2: and the guy that you finished off with cannons, don't know but, most of the pilots I get to fly against are not THAT stupid :/ lol - most just pull away as soon as they feel/see they are getting shot at.

And yeah, I think it's perfectly fine to keep jets down... cause they are so unbalanced it's crazy. Plus.. I gotta shoot them both down in order to keep them down now don't I.
