.50 CAL Sniper rifle...holy ****!!!

Now thats what I call sniping. Thats everything the M95 should have been. I guess its good theres only one per side or everyone would have one. Theres a sense of satisfaction when with a 10 round clip, if you take your time can get 10 kills. And choppers...I had one hovering over a flag trying to take it, it was smoking a bit...didn't even take all 10 shots to bring it down.

Find one on Battle of Sambir, and since the off road cars can actually go off road and drive up mountains, climb up to the highest one you can find overlooking an enemy flag and have some fun!

I recall the m82 had recoil reducing features a nd that barret claimed the recoil was about that much of a 12 gauge.

thats what i hate about it. u got to lye down in the middle of a battle and shoot. that difficult when u dont have a good view. i had this guy yesterday coming from behind me with the 50 cal standing and trying to shoot me. i turned arround and shot him with my pistol.
I only go on the German side cuz of the sniper on that side. i hate the other one on the Ukfraine side and dont like the 50 cal cuz u have to lye down all the time. It is good when u are sneaking arround and go to a good hiding place where u got a good view of everything even when ur lying down. but other than that its not that usefull imo

I remember when I found the kit "oooo, what's THIS?" so I swapped kits and started playing around. Took a minute to figure out the laying down bit, but wow... I suck as a sniper, so this kit is not for me - but for those of you that are, have some fun. You sure won't be "in" combat with this kit.

Ok, for those of you that never played the mods from 1942 with the .50 cal, you have to look at it as a new kit and learn how to make it useful. I had 45 kills and 6 deaths with the .50 cal on the Ukrain side just lying next to a tree defending a flag that was quite a distance away. Thats how ist supposed to be used, not in th middle of the action like the sniper rifles in vanilla.

I have always been unhappy with Snipers in general, probably because I dont use them.

In the DC days (not that there gone really), I was one of the people who couldnt stand snipers, simply because the abttles were so intense, and you needed every team members help to win a good fight. Snipers just hide and get good ratios, but almost never help tip the scales of a battle.

The best part about snipers, is sneaking up and knifing them from behind. The tall grass has given you guys some good cover in POE2, but watch your back, Im sharpening my knife right now.

The diffrence was you could snipe from several hundred meteres away, but you had to account for bullet drop so you had to aim a half a body length or more above your target. It took some skill at that range, esspecially when they were a moving target. There was an L96,M24, and Draganov in those mods too.....and I was equally capable with them. The .50 just gave you allot more range and allot more realism.

When you play on teamspeak (like back in the DC days) or in squads and you use a sniper to support and spot for a squad they are very effective. My friends and I often employ a sniper to help pick off and weaken enemies when we are defending or capping a flag, it takes coordination though and when you have all these stat-whores that just want to run and gun and throw ammo and med. packs (talk about no skill) its hard to use a sniper effectivly. We have it down pretty good though...

Yeah I sniped one guy with .50cal while he was repairing his tank.... his body fly away about 5 meters :laugh:
