Many countries use DD/MM/YYYY instead of MM/DD/YYYY. But all that thread says is that there will be an announcement made about 1.4 on Friday. It does not say that anything will be released. So what's the big deal?

I do not know if they are going to release it for sure. But with the BF2142 demo coming out really soon does tell me that the 1.4 is not that far off.

I'll put my money on the announcement being that they've decided not to release 1.4 official, because people kept whinging too much about every patch they released!

If they are going to release something, I hope it's beta 3, because if it's the final, we are going to cry for 1.3 back!
Right now 1.4 beta 2 is unplayable. Or it can be considered a vehicle only mod.
Just weapons mounted on vehicles work, all the others don't.
You can't prone, can't shoot and grenades, mines, med and ammo packs disappear into the ground.
Try it yourself. At least this is how it was on a couple of servers running beta 2, a while ago.

Seems lots of people are getting unduely excited here...

He said that an announcement will be made, NOT that the patch will be released OR that the next round of beta is good to go.

While it's possible that something might come out, I kinda doubt it from his wording.

Correction = all countries besides USA use that. (DD/MM/YYYY)
