I do not know if they are going to release it for sure. But with the BF2142 demo coming out really soon does tell me that the 1.4 is not that far off.

This is an announcement of an upcoming announcement and nothing more.

As for Bf2142 Demo coming soon, I wouldn't hold your breath. EA has made a deal with Best Buy to allow a limited Beta test, limited to only 700+ Best Buy employees, for the Geek Squad employees. See http://www.chicagoshardcoregamers.co...971&highlight= for more details.

Net code will be rewrited so there must be a 1.4beta 3 that, I hope, will work becouse a lot of programmer that were working at EA & DICE had been fired :P

There seems to be some debate as to whether it's 12/08/06 or 08/12/06.

I'm hoping August and not December. :laugh:

I'm hoping this will be the 1.4 patch for real on friday as this seems to be dragging on for a really long time. Another beta will be pretty damn annoying. Yes I understand that it'd be better to get beta 3 then a pefect 1.4 rather than a buggy 1.4 but come on guys, we've been waiting a looooong time here.

I stand corrected. I've never left the country so I figured some did and some didn't. I guess we're special.

Everyone is getting way to excited. You are all setting yourselves up for disappointment, imo. I guess we'll know tomorrow though.
My guess is something about beta 3, or that they are giving up on 1.4 all together :p.

They have already stated that the beta is over as well as all of the beta servers have been taken down.

Yep the beta testing seems to be over. Beta3 came out last week (not public though) and was tested for the past 7 days. Those test servers are empty now.

It'l hardly be about 2142 as we already know that the beta is due mid-August and that it's almost only available to Fileplanet subscribers.
